        When both fighters are from overseas, why does domestic sales have such significance?



        And btw, I guess most people on this forum don't read the business news. Unemployment is at 8.9% and the more accurate measure of unemployment, its around 15%. Around 6 million people have lost jobs since Dec of 2007 and many more are going to lose theirs. If you think the economy has little impact on people's willingness to purchase a 50-60 dollar PPV event then you are a fool. Just because the economy stopped falling off a cliff as it was in the last quarter of 2008 doesn't mean we're in any better shape.

        In contrast DLH vs Floyd Jr. happened when all seemed rosy.

            Notice there is no announcement from HBO yet. The figures are in, and Arum has requested that the numbers not be published.

            Domestic US PPV buys are under 650K. Disappointing.

                            where are the ppv numbers usually reported and how long does it normally take? this may explain team pacq's refusal to fight pbf! they cant sucker him down to a handicapped weight and low ball him with those numbers! the money man will call the shots!
