floyd has all the advantages. all he has to do is be smart then pick him apart
What must PBF do to beat JMM?

Floyd is a hard man to really beat up, he is just one of those type of fighters (he can lose because of this though because if you are good enough to force an asswhipping on him, he will fight very hard for that not to happean and might forget about actually trying to win).Comment

I disagree with the asswhipping part, I think if they fought Ray Leonard would win mainly because Floyd can probably not stop Ray Leonard or really keep him honest. I could see it being a close fight if Floyd forces it into a boxing match, the more contact there is the more it favors Ray Leonard. If worse comes to worse though I say Floyd turns the fight negative and just avoids fighting, I think that Foyd would be a very hard person to truly whip, because one of his main goals is to not take punishment (he could lose possibly every round but contact in those 12 rounds would probably be less then Hatton ate in 2rounds, some people might consider such an outcome an asshipping though).

I agree. Floyd was gettin' caught with a good number of jabs when he fought De La Hoya. Marquez is an accurate, precision puncher who can put together some amazing combos. If Mayweather leaves himself open, then Marquez will capitalize on those openings.Comment

I can honestly say i cant see that happeningComment

This is a really tough fight for Floyd.
JMM is the #2 P4P fighter who seems to have increased in power in his last two fights. Casamayor and Baby Bull were never stopped previously. Marquez is a smart, experienced fighter. Manny Pacquiao is one of the greatest fighters of all time. If not for a couple of KD's, Marquez would have beat Manny twice.
So, Marquez is a great, great fighter who is giving up about five pounds or so. That is offset, as Juan says, by the two years of inactivity that Floyd brings. You can't just get off your sofa after two years and beat a HoF fighter. That is the stuff of legend. SRL-type stuff.
To accomplish this, PBF must ensure that he gets great sparring to bring his sharpness back. But where do you get sparring partners as smart and skilled as JMM? Floyd must be more aggressive and try to put some distance on the scorecards via a KD or two. JMM can be caught. But his heart is amazing.
Floyd must ensure that his stamina is first-rate. JMM hasn't tired.
To beat JMM, Floyd will have to ensure his defense is the difference. Offensively, they are about even.
Power - even
Speed - Floyd
Defense - Floyd
Offense - Marquez slight advantage
Intangibles - Marques (active, on a streak)
Training/Corner - Marquez
This is a pick 'em fight.
so now that makes JMM a viable opponent for PBF. ahahaha, highly laughable
extra "haha" for that
you fools are simply dumb.
this is chess. PBF is going to destroy the guy pacman has been dodging just to **** with Pacman and let Pac know whats coming his way.
PBF is going to murder JMM and pACLast edited by sycomantz; 05-07-2009, 09:56 PM.Comment
