It's going to be unpleasant to see Mayweather beat up a great smaller fighter like JMM.

Even Juan Diaz was noticeably bigger than Marquez. JMM is a natural featherweight, not a lightweight - he fought at featherweight well into his 30s.

Mayweather is a craven ***** to make JMM come up to a weight near welterweight for this fight. Floyd's only been away a year and a half. Vitali Klitschko was away four years and is much older than Floyd at age 37, but still fought the champ at his own weight division when he returned.

It is a mismatch but i still would'nt mine watching the fight. JMM has the skills and heart so he might have a small chance of an upset. JMM vs Bradley and PBF vs Mosley would have been more on an even playing field. Or PBF vs Berto if Floyd wants a tune-up. JMM is getting older so he deserves a nice pay day so i dont mind this fight happening.

Although Mayweather is Emeritus Champion or some such, neither fighter has any direct ties to the WBC at this instant. I'm sure Sulaiman will get over his feelings of impotence by getting back to stripping deserving fighters like Bradley.

Lets see, Floyd biggest fight was against Diego Corrales, after that he never took any risks. Fighting an older Delahoya and a smaller Ricky doesn't make him a Hall of Famer. Even though I like Marquez excellent counterpuncher ability and mid adjusments during fights the dis-advantages against him are numerous.

Floyd lost the first fight against Castillo regardless of the excuses he had of a hurt hand. The only opponent that has been physically bigger than Floyd was De la Hoya. You can clearly see the pattern of Floyd's opponents. Don't ever see him calling out the Mosley's, Cotto's, William's or Margarito's of the World. I do see that he has great abilities in the ring but he doesn't take a fight which he would be the underdog.

Marquez is a great fighter, yes he was losing the fight with diaz , but diaz throws a lot of punches, and all great fighters find a way to win, and all great fighters find a way to win and that is what he did.
