I'm a -fan- of both fighters.. And being unbiased, I don't see Pacman ever beating Mayweather..
It's happening again.....

He probably wouldn't survive the shot that Manny put Hatton away with. But then I find it difficult to believe he'd get himself into a position where he would TAKE such a shot. Unlike Ricky, Floyd WILL have his hands up and he WILL move his head. Manny won't have an easy target to connect with.
we can also assume that Floyd's chin hasn't tasted a clean shot yet coz of his defensive style & Floyd's got brittle hands, dats why he can't get too busy wid PacComment

it think it will be a close fight that floyd will eventually start to take over with his technical skills and superior ring smarts, mannys speed and intense offence will definitely make floyd fight at his best and really work for this win
floyd by UD 116-112 sounds rightComment

Im pretty sure he's got 1. Roach has never been known as a big talker. The only times he's had...Manny backed up Roach's talk. And Roach has been saying "Please floyd, come out of retirement. We'll knock you out too." Something completely uncharacteristic for Roach to say unless he had a trick or 2 up his sleeve.Comment

Good thread, I always feel you can not put to much stock in a fight were a fighter gets little or no resistence. The guys he beat were all decent enough fighter who had size on Pacman, so it is impressive how good he has looked. What is also shocking is how little resistence he has got in these last 3 fights, what is going to happean when things do not go according to plan (the last 3 fights have all gone by the book from Pacman's side, the real test for a boxer is when you have to throw away the book you are used to using and find something new imo).
I think that Floyd-Pacman is an interesting fight. I give Floyd the advantage if he is still Floyd as you say, because I think he is the one with options in the fight (Manny will have some success, but I can not see him out adjusting Floyd). The worst part about it for Manny is, Floyd probably thinks he will get a ton of credit for this win (he does not get a lot of credit, he can deny he craves it but he wants his props from everyone), so I think he will put everything he has into this fight.Last edited by The Gambler1981; 05-07-2009, 12:26 PM.Comment
