As I said, it is a very bold prediction.

But that was my original prediction on this possible mega-fight back in 2007, and I'm sticking with my gut.

I'd rather end up with egg on my face, or eating crow on this subject, than be somebody who changes their opinion with the wind (like a lot of users do here).

The casual boxing public has taken to yet another all action fighter in Manny Pacquiao.

Floyd is back, and they're now eyeballing Pacquiao as the "Mayweather killer". Evidence of this can be seen on the various youtube clips of regular people talking about the posibility of a Floyd/Manny fight, or even some of the goons over at ESPN, like the guys from "1st and 10" who said Mayweather would have "no chance" against Manny.

It's going to be a sad, sad day for these uninformed casuals when they shell out $50 for yet another PPV in the hopes of seeing Floyd smashed....

.......Only to see Floyd completely annihilate Pacquiao they way that I (and a few others here) have predicted.

So long as Floyd is still Floyd (and we'll know that soon enough), he TKO's Pacquiao in 10 very lopsided rounds.

And I'm not even a Floyd hugger.

I'm a fan.

The fight would be good for boxing and counting any fighter is silly. Both will do their best to get the victory and as boxing fans, we should be more than happy that this bout has a possibility of actually happening.

All I have to say is that it's been more than 5 years since Floyd has fought a fighter that we all knew going into the fight was going to pose some serious problems for him.

My theory on Pacquiao beating Mayweather is as simple as Floyd has become complacent. Floyd has all the tools to beat Pacquiao but i just simply dont think he remembers what it feels like to not be in complete control and going full pace for an entire 12 rounds.

Pacquiao will come into the fight looking to shock and awe. Sure Floyd will adapt eventually and get a rythm going at some point, but the fact that Pacquiao will simply not go away no matter how in control of the fight he is....all while avoiding flurries and bombs will push Floyd's boxing mind to its limits. Sooner or later...he will have a lapse in concentration n get caught. Possibly multiple times....and we will see for possibly the 1st time in his entire career what kind of heart Floyd has in there.

I got no problem with Manny, son.

Who could hate on a guy with his story? Dude came from nothing, fought his way up to the top, and became the best in his chosen field : whipping ass.

He deserves everything he has.

His fans just annoy me, and on a technical level, he doesn't have Mayweather's skills. That's why this prediction is easy for me.

And I'm no Floyd lover, either. Use your search feature, I've talked at length about Floyd in the past, and my problems with him, as well.

Most recently, about how he needs to fight a fucking Welterweight or two in this "comeback" before leaving again.

The fight is just an easy pick for me.

And I'll be more than happy to take your points if and when the fight is official.

But 100K of my points can't be up for grabs : I already promised Lady Fan a 100K bet months ago on this potential fight, if and when it happens.

someone claiming a floyd victory over PAC, fine...i could see it...i myself can recognize floyd's brilliance...but to claim an 'easy' victory? i guess his 'annoying' fans have kept you from seeing PAC's brilliance

Oscar de la hoya = Southpaw fighter turned to orthodox aka his right hand is not his power hand.

Ricky Hatton= Doesn't have a single straight right from distance good enough to consistently land on Pac

Mayweather= One of the best right hands of recent years, and if he combines it by moving to his left away from pacquaio's left hand, I doubt how quick pac will be to get off those punches that matter.

but keep in mind that Floyd usually fights orthodox fighters, rarely southpaws
and Pac is d fastest southpaw he will ever face...and one more thing: Floyd's inactive for almost 2 years, you can say he stil maintains his shape but somehow its not the same when you're fighting in the ring....and we can't be so sure if he can get pass marquez without problem

Actually, how does it effect either guy?

Isn't it only natural for people to want to see the former P4P #1 take on the current P4P#1 when they're so close in size and stature?

I don't see how the possibility of that fight being discussed "makes" anyone involved "even greater".

Secondly, Pac isn't a one dimensional slugger anymore. He's a complete fighter.

He hasn't been that one dimensional lefty since the Morales trilogy,

i mean c'mon mate... when MP was still a flyweight fighting in asia did u think he was going to improve and scale the weight classes the way he just did? PBF was RING fighter of the year in 98... about the same time MP was fighting mira, sasakul & unknown contenders in the flyweight division! the fact that this fight is even a discussion at all is a testament to MP's greatness...

some unknown flyweight in asia becoming a 6 division champion now fighting the greatest thing since sliced bread PBF...
