I think Floyd is bigger, but this is not a David vs Goliath. It is closer to David vs. a slightly larger David~. It is my same thought with JMM tbh, I thought it would have been interesting to see them tangle if they were both at 130 at the same time, but even then I always though Floyd was bigger (my bigger problem with JMM beating Floyd is I just do not think he has what it takes to get the job done, really has very little to do with size).

I don't see the close contest that everybody else is seeing.

Pacquiao is overrated as hell by his loyal fans, has been for quite a while. But ever since he dominated the weight drained ******, he's been on another level of hype.

Hatton is not that special. I told everybody that would listen that Hatton would get TKO'd by Pacquiao. Granted, even I thought he would at least last until the 6th.

Still, Ricky is a limited fighter. C class at best. He owes his entire career to a **** division at 140.

He could probably have made 135 or 147, but he chose 140 for all of those years because the talent pool wasn't anywhere near as deep, and he could become a star.

But back to Floyd/Manny.....

Manny doesn't do **** that Floyd doesn't do better.

So long as Floyd is still the same Floyd, and the layoff hasn't effected him (we'll know when he fights Marquez) : The result will be an easy one to predict.

Seeing how manny shows better movements and better defense then 99 percent of floyds opposition if not all. I don't see how comparing gatti to pacman means crap. Its not like it will be easy for floyd to land his punches he normally does on his opponents on pacman, want to know why? Because pacman moves too much, he doesn't stay still or come straight forward like a moron and leave his hands low for all 10-11 rounds before getting ktfo.

The difference is, the casual public wasnt asking for DLH/Mayweather nor Hatton/Mayweather, they were fed the match ups by 24/7 and the promoters.

Now we actually have a fight that they would be interested in seeing rather than be suckered into seeing.

Mayweather TKO in the later rounds for me. He will hit Pac 10x more than he's been hit in his last 3 fights put together. Yes if Pac hit him with the shot that KO'd Hatton then he goes down, but Mayweather isn't that ******.

I think Mayweather will have some worrying moments in the open few rounds though.

They paid $50 to watch him destroy Oscar. After that, they turned their TV's off and never heard a peep about Oscar being drained : Unles they went and looked for boxing news.

Though they view Hatton as a world beater, because of his star power.

Nothing I can say will change anybody's mind on this one.

And casuals never do that type of ****.- No, they don't. Not to take anything away from Manny, he was landing his shots, moving in and out and all...but Oscar didn't put up a fight. For God's sake, round 7 was scored 10-8 without a knockdown by all three judges. That fight was nothing but Pacquiao/Diaz Part 2...a bigger beatdown.

I was on the fence several times during the lead up to this fight, but eventually thought that Pacquiao would take it since Hatton's face looked like a skull, and thought that any punches he sustained would make cut and bruise his face easily. We didn't get to see that, unfortunately. But I thought that Hatton DID have a chance, though. Because contrary to Diaz and Oscar, Hatton would be REALLY pouring the pressure on...and he did...but he forgot to mix pressure with defense. :S

As of right now, Pacquiao is riding a wave of hype in the wake of moving three times consecutively in weight classes and winning in astounding fashion.

Over here in Puerto Rico, the newspapers (on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) there were articles of the possibility of Pacquiao vs. Cotto, Pacquiao vs. Mayweather, etc. I'm all for Pacquiao, he deserves his recognition, but I get irritated when casual fans (friends or people who just watch two boxing matches per year), go out and say that Pacquiao beats Cotto. It depends on what weight class, among other things. At 147, Pacquiao does well in the first rounds, and then has trouble.

And if you consider that JMM (a boxing savant counterpuncher) gave Pacquiao fits, Mayweather would probably do the same. The only thing that stops me from being completely convinced that Mayweather beats Pacquiao is that Pacquiao comes in and swarms, leaving little room to counterpunch. Add to the fact that Mayweather is very cautious and very defensive, and you start to get tangled up in the web trying to decide who takes it, since he won't be looking for Pacquiao. Pacquiao will be throwing more punches and Mayweather will be trying to pick him off like a sniper and land that hard counterpunch that'll have Pacquiao doing the boogey-woogey up on the ring.

Nevertheless, this fight at 140 would be very, and I mean VERY, interesting. I don't care what people say about Cotto/Pacquiao. Right now, the fight I wanna' see is Pacquiao/Mayweather. Let's hope Arum doesn't try to spite Mayweather and give him the cold shoulder, and that Mayweather wins his fight in an impressive manner that'll have people talking about the fight being made before the fight is actually made.

LATE NOVEMBER, EARLY DECEMBER look for it...Mayweather-Pacquiao.

To those people saying pacquiao has no defense. Here's the definition of defense: resistance against attack; protection. If your saying pac easily gets hit watch his last fights against diaz, dela hoya and hatton. He doesnt use shoulder rolls, peak a boo shell defense like floyd does but he uses awkward head movements and angles to avoid getting hit. Emmanuel Stewart said it best pacquiao has very good defensive skills so unpredictable. Did you see the 1st hatton knock down? Thats defense and offense all in-one.

When you have the toughnes, work ethic, heart, and desire of a Manny Pacquiao you would be wrong to give him no shot. Then when you add in his speed, and overall skills you would be an idiot to sell him short!!! I have Pac winning but of course floyd is just as good so obviously he has as much chance of winning but one thing i know for sure its that IF Floyd wins, well manny is gonna make floyd earn this win in a hard fough war that floyd hates getting into!!!
