Its true, Cotto needs to beat Clottey first and we need to see how he looks doing so before any assumptions can be made.
In terms of what Bonilla said, I would not judge the fight off of Saturday's result as Pac was basically hitting a moving punch bag. He could not miss!
Even still, as badly as Hatton performed he still landed cleanly on Pac and if it was Cotto throwing these punches who is to say what would have happened?

cotto vs pac has to happen @ 147. theres more history on the line for pac that way. 7th division title. It would break his tie w/ oscar. I dont wanna or the rest of the world for that matter, dont wanna hear the boricuas saying cotto was weight drained for the pac fight.

Manny in eight rounds by TKO. His speed will be too much for the slower Cotto.
No punching power? go back and see most of the Cotto fights that ended after a good amount of round and see if their faces look the same from before the fight!! you sure watch alotta boxing "peeleft:

Cotto almost always starts his offensive attack with a left hook or the jab. If you force him to consistently start with the right, something he is not used to or familiar with, it will open up opportunities for Pac.

That being said, I still think that Cotto is too strong for Pac and Cotto takes it.
... but then again, will those blocks hold Cotto's strength, Cotto will go through those blocks like he walkin thru a wall.

so you WOULD know more than Pac's trainers huh? even Freddie roach n his team said that Cotto might be Too big and is too of a good body puncher, its a big risk to take against PAC, wit that said, shut up!! please, u dont know what ur talkin about.

finally someone sees what i see in cotto...listen cotto is a very good solid fighter......however i truly feel his footwork is his downfall, he is one of the most robotic fighters i've seen, he's constantly looking down at his feet looking for readjustments, there's no fluidity to his movements, and a super quick fighter ala pac-man and mayweather will be able to take advantage of cotto.......while veryone would say floyd is afraid of cotto i truly believe that floyd would totally tag cotto all night long in route to a easy win......bottom line floyd is tooooo fast and has way to much defensive ability for cotto to even touch him....and for those who wish to bring up the mosley fight, mosley is fast but not as fast as floyd, plus mosley now is a fighter who looks to stand and deliver, and was pretty much there for cotto.....

And let's not forget that judah rocked cotto, slow ass margarito plaster or not was able to tag cotto all night as well.....

So as far as pac-man/cotto or floyd/cotto, i truly believe that speed would win out, yeah cotto's strong, but that means nothing is you can't connect!!!

Furthermore cotto has no stamina, trust me clottey will test him throughout their matchup!!! Clottey is stay busy in the trenches body punching type fighter, we'll see how cotto handles th epressure that clottey will surely bring that night!!!
Zab was faster than Floyd, and Mosley is the same, what happened to those fighters? once those body shots hit, ur stamina, strength and speed will collapse in a blink of an eye.

How can even the most die hard Paq fans be so delusional to the fact that the majority of Paq's opponents don't have offense? I mean steppin up to fight Cotto, I can't believe Freddie Roach and company actually built up that kind of nerve finally. They're finally gonna get back in the ring with another guy that will, and can throw some elite choice of punches.

But I said along time ago, that if Paq beat Hatton there is literally no more over-rated guys to cherry pick for Roach. Paq is literally in the fire now, he's surrounded by talent now. There's no more stiffs out there.
damn son, i love that clip u got of Pac vs Marquez, Pac look so slow in that part and weak.

lol, that's not the best analogy cause cotto can't walk through walls you fail
