JMM has a way of spoiling the best of plans. His only problem is that he doesn't have the gigantic fanbase outside of Mexico, therefor he is easy to rob if he doesn't post a KO.
Having said that, I think that lots of people are underestimating Floyd's chances against Pacman (if he gets past Marquez). The only person that Pacman has fought on Floyd's P/P level is Marquez and those were two even fights. Floyd is bigger than Pacman, harder working than anyone except possibly Marquez himself, faster than anyone that Pacman has fought and gets better as the rounds progress. Floyd's toughness is very underrated and unrecognized by people who don't like him.
If Pacman gets by Cotto (which is by no means a guarantee- nor is Cotto's getting by Clottey a certainty) too easily and starts to believe the hype, he would be a setup for Floyd. Manny's punches will not land with the effect that they did on Oscar and Hatton.

I'll give the benefit of the doubt to those who are still not convinced Floyd is as good as he claims to be.

I would go so far as to say any fighter Floyd faces has a CHANCE to beat him and to prove he CAN be beaten.

Thus far, none of the fighters he faced have beaten him.

Granted, compared to Manny's fights, Floyd's bouts may not look as exciting, and some seemed dull in comparison.

But I see very few would even say that he can be Knocked Out because he's never been in serious trouble enough to even garner the thought.

A lot more can be said about this, but I'll just end it by saying that I truly hope he faces the fighters his doubters claim can give him a better fight.

This way, if and when he beats them, he can retire knowing that he made converts out of those who didn't think he was that good.

And if he, by some divine intervention, loses to anyone, let it be against the best fighter out there and not some bum that everyone knew he could beat.

After all, some of the Greatest Fighters Of All Time have losses on their records.

True greatness is not defined by undefeated records but by the challenges & risk you took & how your championship heart & mettle responded to adversity & loses.

JMM is by no means an appitizer. there are alot of threads about this fight already. i dont think floyd will knock JMM out, there both counter-punchers, not agressers, it will be an interesting fight, but im not sure it will be entertaining.

Don't Underestimate Mayweather

I wouldn't underestimate Floyd Mayweather, his a very accurate puncher and has speed. If anybody was in his place, wouldn't you be smart with who you fight. Like come on, De la hoya and Hatton that was a bad match to begin with for Pacquaio. Now if you would of say miguel cotto or even shane mosley who even shocked me with that knock out of Margarito. Than ok. Pacquaio is dodging marquez and perfect opportunity for Floyd to prove people if he a good fighter and lets not forget this is a man Pacquaio don't want to face again. Floyd has taken a dangerous opponent.

Mayweather is a smart fighter and so what if he runs around a lot. The point of the game is be smart, hit and move so you don't get hit. Is what he does and he does it well. I would like to see anybody standing in the center or rush forward and throw crazy punches.. see where that leads you. Wait HATTON.lol.coming forward into Manny and getting hit. . Same repeated style as always. We all know how it goes. Where Marquez is a lot like floyd Mayweather and keeps his distance. Which presents more of a challenge.

Either or i am waiting for this fight to happen.. Floyd sometimes talks ****, but you have to admire he talks **** and can back it up for the most time. Knock on wood and hope nothing bad happens. Cause it seems he puts a lot of front for the game, cause just like the 24/7 trash talking of him and de la hoya.. At the end he spoke well and was a gentleman. Everyone loves drama and that is right. Cause just imagine freddy roach and pacquaio and no FLoyd Sr to hype it up.. It would of been boring.
