Hatton thought he could trade with Pacquiao, had no idea how foolish that would be.

Theyre both to blame. A fighter is only as good as his trainer and otherwise. Why do you think Pacquiao travels all the way to the US to be trained by Roach? Cuz he needs Roach as much as Roach needs him. The same for Hatton and Floyd sr. Floyd sr cant just get credit for the Malignaggi win and not take a hit for the Pacquiao loss. IMO

any version of Hatton would have lost to Pacquiao, thats for sure.

but you can blame Floyd Sr for Hatton doing so awful. at least the brawling and mauling Hatton under Graham would have made a fight out of it, instead of just stand in front Pacquiao trying box and getting demolished. still, give credit to Ricky for having all that heart, I really didnt expect him to get up when he got knocked down the second time, theres no quit in the guy.

and Sr is a jackass. just read that hes telling Hatton to retire, because he says that to lose to someone below his son is degrading.
what a dumbass. and what a fail as a trainer.

still, wow at Pacquiao. one of the greatest offensive fighters of all time, and this is not up to debate.
its not just that he beat De La Hoya and Hatton, since I favored him to win both of those fights...but to do it in the fashion that he did? now THAT, is something special.

Both to blame? I don't think so. Might as well say since a mother gave birth to a son and the son becomes a serial killer it's the mom's fault for him doing it. Nonsense.

Did anyone mention to Hatton that Pac is a southpaw, I don't remember it being talked about on 24/7 at all. My guess is Hatton in his career has more problems with lefties than orthodox fighters.Hatton fought Pac like he was fighting a righty, with his right hand down after he threw a punch with his left.If Mayweather didn't emphasize this in training then yea he gets a part of the blame.

Im just saying... If Hatton woulda won Floyd sr gets credit, no? But now Hatton loses, he has nothing to do with it?
He was the head trainer, he called the shots in the Hatton camp. How could he not take any blame? Im not saying its all his fault, I said its both their fault. My 2 cents.
