Right now, I consider the skills in judging this kind of thing, and mayweather is just on a different planet skills wise.

Lets see what he can do against Marquez.
lol, the more time that passes,

the more Floyd stans have to rely on his skillset to make any type of argument for him. They obviously don't have the resume to back up any talk, nor do they have the career defining fights.

Skillset doesn't matter when you're not taking on the best available challenges which is what Floyd has been avoiding most.

    Love it.

was delahoya prime when floyd beat him? nope.

so just because mayweather koed him , hatton is no longer prime when ricky fought him a year later? lol
De la hoya was far better at 154 against Mayweather than he was against pac, can you accept that?

Can you also accept hatton was undefeated before mayweather knocked him out, exposed him and that after than even Lazcano had hatton hurt?

Who are the great fighters Manny has beaten in their primes?

Pacquaio is tremendous, i just want the names of the top prime fighters he beat, Marquez is one.

Skillset also doesn't matter when its a bunch of armchair trainers doing the analysis.

You used this as reasoning for manny being above mayweather in the legacy stakes

When in fact mayweather won it in 1998 and 2007.
1998 technically isn't this decade now is it?

but i see your point. 2 fighter of the years for both then.

you excuse judah fight for floyd because the fight was already agreed to?

and morales fight wasn't? you do realize it was a double header tuneup card right? manny fought velazquez at 130 and erik tried out 135 with raheem on the same card to set up their upcoming rematch. i think that qualifies as a fight that was already agreed to.
Who cares? You named Morales as one of pacquaio's best wins, im telling you he was old and coming off a loss.

I dont remember saying in this thread mayweather beating judah was a great win.

Actually its Floyd whos painted himself into a corner.

He won't do business with him period, so he says anyways.

I rate them pretty closely now actually, it can go either way right now but I hope we get to see them settle it in the ring (if Floyd can win against JMM).

It doesn't matter whoever had the biggest fight of the year always wins fighter of the year not 'the best fighter of the year'.

I think it's very close. Hopefully this question will be decided later this year in one of the few real superfights of this decade.
