  • Hatton a Paper Tiger

I dont know how Hatton end up performing the way he did against Pacman. Especially having Mayweather Sr on his corner, for 2 fights.

Personally I think he was somewhat of paper tiger like Maliginini. Look at the fighters they have fought and how they did against their opponents.

Oscar De La Hoya: vs. Mayweather, Full 12 rounds and fought him well.
DLH vs. Pacman 6 rounds, something was wrong with his performance, due to weight, but he lasted 6 rounds.

JMM: vs. Pacman 2 fights, both went 12 rounds, both fights could have gone either way. To date JMM is Pacman's toughest opponent. But JMM's level of boxing makes him one of the top fighters.

    Now let's look at Hatton.............

Hatton vs Mayweather: 10 Round TKO. Yeah it took MAyweather a while, but he did it none the less.

Hatton vs. Lazcano: terrible fight for the Hitman. One of the later rounds Lazcano, almost KO, probably TKO, if it wasn't for the recovery time given to him because of his shoe laces. He got plenty of time to recover. He was saved by that. It's on youtube if you dont believe me, look at it first, then comment.

Hatton vs Paul Maliginini: Paper Tiger vs. Paper Tiger. Maliginini is overrated enough said. Now it looks like Hatton is under the same category.

Hatton vs. Pacman: 2 rounds. KTO. *JMM went down 3 times in round 1 and rallied back, like never before. *Dehydrated DLH took a whooping at least lasted for 6 rounds.

In conclusion, the hype is completely OVER for Hatton. Not saying he's a sorry boxer, he's not just in the top boxers category. Maybe Juan Diaz and Hatton should fight?

Juan Diaz vs. Hatton would be a great fight!!!!!!!!!

hattons never gonna fight on an undercard, he could still sell out the MEN arena back here in england easily. boxing is about money and hatton would still sell enough in england to easily top a bill

You will never be able to take away the fact that he beat KT. He made KT say no mas and KT never stepped foot into the ring again.

That was his claim to big fame and he rode that ticket for 4 years.
He had the balls to cross the pond and continued doing so.
Hatton was good for the sport and brought in good money.
Funny guy, good guy, lifestyle of the young and restless.
I would not go as far to put him in the same category as Malignaggi, that is an insult to Hatton.

I didn't know about Hatton and KT. I'm not saying he's a bad fighter, there was so much hype, that when he fell both times in the 1st round it was like, what's going on. He caught him several times on that chin. JMM was caught, but he got up and rallied back, learned from his mistakes.

Ofcourse he's a top boxer, well he isn't anymore his chin has been done IMO since the Mayweather fight. His punch resistance is completely gone, regardless that left hand that Pacquiao landed would have KO'd Hatton in his "prime" anyway so it wouldn't have made a difference.
