It's simple, Hatton has 44 fights at 140lbs, he's used to hitting and being hit by 140lb guys.

Pac has 10 fights above 126lbs of those ten fights 7 of those where aginst fighters who have the vast majority of thier fights also 126lb or below. Pac is not used to hitting or being hit by 140lb fighters.

Hatton is naturally a 140lb'er Pac is naturally a 130 and below fighter, no matter how many rounds in sparing you do moving up weights in a real fight is different.

    History backs up that.

that must be why Pwill is getting offered fights left and right.

Hatton's official weight for the start of the fight is revealed as 11st 4lb, while Collazo is registered just a touch lighter at 11st 2lb.

I don't understand the UK weight measurements. an american link plz
      14lb to a stone, so 158lbs.

you realise that those are American measurements too right?

With Manny walking around at approx. 155lbs I don't agree on him being a 130-and-below fighter. I'd say more like a healthy Junior Welter who is able to eat what he wants.

Great talent transcends differences in weight. An example being Robinson weighing in at only 157.5lbs for a Light Heavyweight fight (and being clearly ahead on the score cards before the stoppage came through heat exhaustion). Another example is Floyd -- clearly not a huge guy but who's talent allows him to fare well in higher divisions. There is a limit, though, and who knows, maybe Pacquiao will find his limit to be below 140, but props to him anyway, he's trying to be the best he can and I can't knock it. It looks to me like he'd be a great 140lb'er, but that's his limit. He should probably stay away from 147.

Hatton is a bit bigger, but not so much that it will give him a huge advantage like he thinks. I'm not sure who is stronger, Pacquiao has a lot of muscle on him and generally doesn't get pushed around either.

I think when it comes down to it Pacquiao will be too fast and powerful, catch him with huge shots and that will be it. In particular the right hook, which Ricky will get caught with coming in.

When they both step in the ring They will both be the same size IMO....

Maybe manny has a bigger calf muscle or Hatton had a bigger waist... WHATEVER.

ROUGHLY, there the same damn size.
