I think it makes Floyd a Nostradamus.

I was willing to give Mayweather a pass for retiring before his rematch with ODLH, because I thought that meant that he was actually finished with the sport. I mean, it was the biggest payday possible for him, so... why would he walk away unless he was done with the sport?
But now... man, all the **** about him ducking top welterweights is just becoming true. It's pretty sad that the guy who used to be my favorite fighter is now such a joke in my eyes.

to be honest i figured he would fight cotto if he beat tony then oscar cause that would make a fight with him and cotto hugh and make him a lot of Money and i did not belive he would stay away as long as he did if cotto would have won but then when cotto lost and oscar lost his fight my thinking was he want a fight with pacman. What do you make of Mayweather "retiring" when Cotto was at the top of the division, Margarito was the toughest bastard around, and there was a 7'0" tall freak who threw 1,000 punches a round all wanting a shot at him?
But then he came back when Cotto had already got the **** beat out of him, Margarito's reputation was in shambles, and Williams was fighting at 160?
(I was talking with Clegg earlier today and he brought up the above, and I figured it was too good not to make a thread for.)
IMO he was never going to fight toney and williams was not going to happen rigth away if it did happen.Comment
