Nah, it wouldn't be such a good win since JMM has never fought above 135 before.

I'd rather Floyd fight someone like Quintana or Collazo as a tune up at 147.

I know you didnt reply to me but my theory is this

while yes both are making similar jumps to divisions or fighters where $$$ comes into play both have taken different paths IMO

Manny is younger and his body was filling out during this process. At age 30 he has now tasted being a welter and is settling into a weight that makes more sense at 140

When JMM was 30 he was still at 126. Now he is going to be about 18lbs more if this fight goes through

they made their ascent up in weights at different start times IMO

PAC has the Oscar win... judging how oscar looked, not sure how great of a win that ACTUALLY is...

Im not telling you your wrong... just asking you why pacman is that much greater really
            Good question.

            Great question.

Ok. So many don't consider Floyd inactive because they presume he's been in the gym since he retired almost two years ago.

            Who has the advantage here?

JMM who's been in the gym preparing AND fighting in the ring for titles since Floyd retired.

Floyd who's been retired and presumed to be in the gym with no major fights in almost two years.

Are we now going to get into the quality of those gym trainings to find out who really has the edge?

reasonable enough... I feel that JMM has better wins against tougher competition above 130 though...

Mayweather fought four bouts at LW, but they were all world championship fights which he won.

How is his fight against JMM who is a current LW champion not a legit or even great win?

Floyd simply moved up in weight first.

If the fight goes through, they'll be fighting at a catch weight by fight time.

                      2. Floyd hasnt weighed anything less then 147 in the last 4 1/2 years.

JMM has said hes moving up to 140 like Pacman and after his destruction and KO of Diaz everyone agreed with the move to chase Hatton..Mayweather and Pac...JMM also said143/144 is perfectly fine for him...he will most likely do what Floyd does and weigh a little less then that on weigh in day anyway..(i.e. Floyd weighing 150 for a 154 pound fight)

                      3. JMM Is the P4P Number 2 fighter in the sport who many think holds two wins over the current number 1 Pacman....So you could make a case for JMM beng P4P number 1.

This is Floyds comeback fight and hes facing a guy who is in shape..sharp...ready to go....and active and is the p4p number 2.

This is a great win for Mayweather.

If a guy who has been at WW/JMW the past 4 years and a guy who says he moving up to 140 calls him out...a catch weight weight fight is at 144 or less....which is what this fight is.

                      Mayweather by KO....10 rounds.
Marquez is not a legit win for Floyd at any means.
                      Floyd should fight a WW.

Marquez was outboxed in the early rounds against a overrated bum Diaz before he capitalize and knock the bum out.
Marquez will look like a fool if he fights Floyd.
