JMM is a legit win for Floyd Mayweather..Heres why.

    1. Floyd wouldve been away a total of 22 months by the time its fight night.

JMM Has had plenty of fights and training camps since then.

    2. Floyd hasnt weighed anything less then 147 in the last 4 1/2 years.

JMM has said hes moving up to 140 like Pacman and after his destruction and KO of Diaz everyone agreed with the move to chase Hatton..Mayweather and Pac...JMM also said143/144 is perfectly fine for him...he will most likely do what Floyd does and weigh a little less then that on weigh in day anyway..(i.e. Floyd weighing 150 for a 154 pound fight)

    3. JMM Is the P4P Number 2 fighter in the sport who many think holds two wins over the current number 1 Pacman....So you could make a case for JMM beng P4P number 1.

This is Floyds comeback fight and hes facing a guy who is in shape..sharp...ready to go....and active and is the p4p number 2.

This is a great win for Mayweather.

If a guy who has been at WW/JMW the past 4 years and a guy who says he moving up to 140 calls him out...a catch weight weight fight is at 144 or less....which is what this fight is.

    Mayweather by KO....10 rounds.

    This is an oxymoron.

You're basically admitting that Marquez has been in plenty of fights (wars, actually) while Floyd was away. He fought Manny, Casamayor, and Diaz, all in that time frame.

Meanwhile, Floyd got a nice rest, and has been spotted in the gym several times since his "retirement".

How many fights did Paul have since Winky was away?

Paul Williams fought SIX TIMES since Winky fought Hopkins.

      How did it help Winky?

      It didnt.

      Paul was wayyyy more sharper.

A nice rest is 6 months off....not 22 months...which is almost 2 years without real live fighting...it will affect Floyd to some degree.

        if it's 144, it's a good win but not a great win.

As far as floyd goes,it is 1 of his best wins, but as far as solidifying his status as an ATG,this win is laughable!!!!!!!!!

                I agree with this....

Its comon sense if a 140 pounder and a guy at 147 want to fight..they meet in the middle.

A win over the p4p number 2 after 22 months away is a damn good win.

Why is Floyd Mayweather fighting a Lightweight? Did the Earth tilt and take us back to 2003?

Hopkins is 44 and Pavlik was 26...just saying.

But 32 and 36 is not that far off.

Cotto was what 28 when he fought a 36 year old Mosley.
