When Floyd comes to the ring as a middleweight then you can talk Miguel, why arnt you calling out anyone at 154 and 160 Miguel? Floyd has gone through 5 weight classes, are you done at your second Miguel, the boxing public wants to know.
Mayweather vs. Marquez is Close To a Done Deal

I don't care that much for the fight, but I don't have too much of a problem with it either given PBF's layoff (which I didn't like, and which lasted longer than I expected).
But PBF's next fight better be against a guy like Mosley or Cotto, or even Pacquiao. At first I didn't care much for a Pac-PBF matchup, but it's grown on me and I don't mind it. It'd be a super fight and good for the sport.
But NO Mayweather-Hatton rematch. Absolute basura. People may try to bring up Joe Cortez or Floyd Sr. to try to justify it, but it is bull****. Floyd could beat up his baby mama, his d!ck, and Hatton at the same time.
**** that fight if it ever happens.Comment

It's not about Cortez, it's about the fact that Hatton would have to fight a lot better than he did against Floyd in order to beat Pacquiao. If he does fight dramatically better it'll be because of Floyd Snr. So if he beats Pac (which I think unlikely) then he would deserve a rematch on the basis that he'd have improved dramatically under Floyd Snr, who has recently said he'd stay in Hatton's corner if a rematch did happen - and that ***********al family aspect would also help sell the fight.Comment

Why all of a sudden such a great fighter like Floyd cant beat a guy who weighs more than he does? Hasn't he been doing that his entire career? Against Chico, JLC, Gatti, Baldomir, ODLH. Why all of a sudden Cotto weighs too much? You guys are pathetic.Last edited by WetSexyLlamaPR; 04-28-2009, 12:26 AM.Comment

Lmao. If Floyd is so great shouldn't he be able to defeat Miguel Cotto no matter what Cotto weighs? I mean Floyd weighed 149 when he fought Oscar while Oscar weighed 162.

Whenever the Floyd stans stop saying he's the greatest of all time and/or the greatest of his generation. In order for him to be the greatest fighter ever he needs to beat JMM, Pac, Mosley, Cotto, Clottey, Berto and Williams.
Everyone knows and acknowledges Floyd is a great fighter and is one of the best in his generation (either him or Pac, IMO it's Pac) however in order to be the best, I'm sorry, the greatest of all time, you have to beat the best. He did that at 130 and at 135. At 140 you can try and make the argument considering he fought Hatton eventually even if it was at 147. It's iffy.
At 147 and at 154 though he did not. 154 was a one fight deal against an aging great. He's clearly avoided the best fighters in the WW division. The greatest fighter of all time wouldn't do that. He'd fight them all and beat them all. Convincingly. Not get these Split Decision victories over aging fighters and claim he's the greatest of all time and/or the greatest of his generation.
That's dopey dumb dumb talk. You should know better.
Now if you aren't one of these guys who says he's the greatest fighter of all time then we're good. This was aimed at the stans who think he's the second coming of Christ.Comment
