He'd tie DLH's record for titles when he wins. Haters would still find a way to discredit him.

Nope, although it can be argued that he is.

He gets a lot of credit for some things that I would not rate that highly, beating Hatton would be something that I would rate highly but that doesn't erase certain questions (but does answer some).

It is a subjective question, so there is no definite answer. B-Hop, Floyd, Joe, Pacman, Vazquez could all have a case made for them in this era (alot depends on the date which you define an era).

He will be up there....but not number one.....floyd, hopkins, RJJ, even Calzaghe for that matter are more impressive to me......

Pacs big wins are MAB the first time, And the Marquez fights....outside of that he has fought washed up or nobodys the past 4-5 years....FACT!

              meh... i disagree

Hatton is not exactly a career highlight unless you're a B level boxer (for proof see the reaction Floyd's win over him got)

Hatton is near finished now anyway

True, but the jumps in weight classes also has to be taken into consideration no?

                    1. Pacquiao
                    2. Mayweather
                    3. Hopkins

In no particular order. I wouldn't be mad if any one of those three were regarded as the best of this era.

marquez and the first barrera fight along with hatton would be hall of fame wins......

he got beat by morales' last great performance......beat washed up versions of MAB 2nd fight and Morales 2/3.....and we all now the oscar win he was fighting a b level version of oscar that night......

pac is a hall of famer.....but no way is he the best of the generation.
