If Manny Pacquiao beats Ricky Hatton, He Will Be The Best Fighter Of Our Era

As it stands, Floyd is the best of our era. Hopkins, Ray Leonard, De La Hoya said it themselves.

HOWEVER................

If Pac beats Hatton, he'll win his 4th lineal title and will be the best of this era due to him making history. I think for Floyd to regain his spot as best of this era, he'll have to beat Pac.

Once he beats Pac, he'll be the best again. And if he adds Cotto to it then his legacy as the best fighter of this era will be set.

I wouldn't consider Hopkins or Jones as a part of the same era as Pacquiao. But if they were I would have Hopkins still ahead of Manny. What Hopkins is doing right now is almost unbelievable. He's been the underdog in his last several fights against Tarver, Wright, and Pavlik. There are few fighters in the history of our sport that have been able to do what Hopkins is doing at the championship level. Hopkins is far from his physical prime but can still outclass many of the top fighters.
