funny how calzaghe gets mentioned in every froch praise post.

    calzaghe is retired.

this is as bad as lewis being mentioned every time someone praises klitschko.....
.....like winning a fight on points, but losing by tko means u actually won lol

i cant see anything in frochs style that would bother calzaghe other than power.
and altho joe got floored in his last fights, he got up, adjusted, and won.
and **** off, hopkins didnt beat joe by holding and throwing single shots.

I have this problem with some british fans who sees no other boxers than Joe calzaghe or Hatton, If any other boxers challenges them or call them out like Froch or Witter has been doing then you would have all this idiot with Froch/Witter cant sell out there hometown.

"Or a man and his dog would be at their fights" and this idiots call themselves boxing fans.

Joe c would handle Froch easily, He would out-box a frustrated froch to a decision, Even froch's power wouldnt trouble Joe who had a magnificent chin.

Thread wasn't really anything to do with Joe...although it wandered off into me wondering how huge an event a Froch-Calzaghe fight could be. It was more about his glans-polishers.

            Don't worry about it.

roy jones himself said that he had an oppertunity to fight joe early in his career but he decided not to because he did not want to go to europe to fight and hopkins is notorious for pricing himself out why do you think him and jones never had a rematch and is this not the same reason adamek is not fighting hopkins

Am not calling Joe C a ducker and if he was still active i would have love to see this fight 2 or 3 years ago, Joe c could have fought Froch but he decided not to...I think he would have beaten froch because of his style but it would have been nice to have a great domestic matchup.

Eubank gave Joe C a chance at fame by getting in there with him when Steve collins was like "Joe Who???" So i would have love for Joe c to help put another british boxer on the map by fighting him...I just get irritated by the so-called british boxing fans who only know about Hatton/Calzaghe and **** on any fighter who called out/other british fighters.......Funny thing is they're all the same fans both fans of hatton and calzaghe.

Another thing is am a big calzaghe fan but i would have rather see him face froch in one of his defences instead of someone like evans eshira or manfredo.

i'm not a Froch fan, and I'm possibly one of these Calzaghe fanboys you speak of

but by the 12th round i was rooting for Froch, and i was jumping around (silently) cheering when he got the win. Maybe cos i had bets on him, but also i guess when push comes to shove I'll root for the Brit hehe

Where did that info come from? From what I've seen and heard over the years, Collins was well aware who Calzaghe was and openly admitted to not wanting to fight him. Eubank confirmed it on the way back to the dressing room after the JC fight -- "Good fighter. Now I see why Steve Collins didn't want to fight him."
