what about those people that werent into boxing at the start of that fighters career. i became a jones jr fan in one of his last good performances lol
Yes, it does make total sense. And yes, you're a joke if you jump on one man's bandwagon and jock him like your life depended on it, and **** on other gutty pros simply for talking 'bad' about him. That makes you not a boxing fan, but a cheerleader. That's pathetic, and I have no compunction about ridiculing it. Sorry.

To mr.crust - I can't remember Taylor's words verbatim, but he praised Carl's fighting heart and just said he was devastated, along those lines. Made no excuses, when you could have forgiven it.

Yes, I am sure in his prime Jones was worried about "trouble" from a clown who defended a WBO trinket beating up Kabery Salem and mgererereregwergrga mgargfgvadhdf in rodeo arenas in his backyard who wanted people to come to him.

LOL. Nice joke. I def. chuckled.

True, but he coulda taken the Froch route
Its partly Warrens fault for making him defend his WBO belt against bums for 8 years before unifying...

This is boxing, not football. I don't want to hear tired cliches and disingenuous praise. Forch clearly does not rate Joke's resume and wants to fight him. What is the problem with that?

Anyway, even though I wanted JT to win by the end, I'm happy for Froch.
                  Hey, Keyser.

Do you at least now acknowledge there are more reasons to love Carl Froch besides being Joe's nemesis?

Skillsets and styles aside, Froch reminds me a lot of the punky, iconoclastic, brooding rebel warrior spirit I admired in Calzaghe in times before he was elevated to 'Saint Joe' by the phony British establishment. Except he's doing what Joe was never able to for a host of factors - making the fights happen, taking his **** into enemy territory without protest, putting it on the line with unflinching stoicism...and delivering spectacularly. Even if it's a short reign, even if Kessler busts his head next, it doesn't matter. Because Carl is taking risks and putting it on the line like a champ.

C'mon...if you can love James Kirkland you can def. find a place in your heart for ya homeboy Carl Froch.
