Mikkel Kessler's promotor Mogens Palle has turned down an offer from HBO for Mikkel Kessler to fight Chad Dawson.

Palle states to danish TV2 that: "Dawson is a cruiserweight squeezing down to 175 lbs and he does not bring enough to the table".

It was the Kessler Camp that turned Dawson down. Now Dawson is willing to come down to KESSLER'S weight. How is that ducking him?

Because Team Kessler countered with an offer for a fight at a catchweight which Dawson turned down.

Last year Dawson called out Kessler for a fight at 175 lbs. When offered the fight at a catchweight he turned Kessler down despite the fact that Dawson was the one who called out the smaller man.

Today Dawson says he's ready to move down to 168 lbs.

This is not the standard NSB duck IMO.

Dawson blatantly DUCKED Kessler.

why fight a Super Middleweight at 170? it does seem pretty pointless from Dawson's end of it and not prove a whole lot, as Kessler's spent a majority of his career at Super Middle .. despite fighting at 154 and 160 (in his earlier career)

so what does Dawson gain by fighting one of the best 168 pounders outside of his weight class?

He was offered catchweight because he said he couldn't make 168. And was offered quite good money for it.
