Good fights for him at 168, so it ain't a bad idea. But Johnson wants you at 175 Chad.

that doesn't make a whole lotta sense ... I've heard varying articles/reports on the whole Kessler/Dawson situation and it still doesn't make sense

so Dawson goes from wanting to meet at 172 (a catchweight) to going all the way down to Super Middle (can Chad even make Super Middle)

which goes into the quote below me

why fight a Super Middleweight at 170? it does seem pretty pointless from Dawson's end of it and not prove a whole lot, as Kessler's spent a majority of his career at Super Middle .. despite fighting at 154 and 160 (in his earlier career)

so what does Dawson gain by fighting one of the best 168 pounders outside of his weight class?

and you can't even say the Kessler-Dawson fight would be that big a marquee fight, since outside of the hardcore fans really Mikkel Kessler isn't that well known.

There are probably harder fights for him at 175-Johnson, and Cloud. But there is bigger money and 168. Froch, Kessler, Taylor, and don't forget Paul Williams. All those fights are HBO money fights. Cloud isn't known enough and nobody likes watching Glenn do his thing for some reason.

Unlike most of you haters I'm for the fighter. I want fighters to make the smartest BUISNESS descisions. Yall hypocrits want them to fight the hardest guys for the least money, and then at the end of there careers you want them to retire so they don't get hurt. Please, you just don't want to see the fighters make money. (example Tito vs Hop where tito makes 15 mil.)

Chad should fight the easiest fight for the most money. I wouldn't let my fighter fight the best guy out there, untill that fight produces the most money out there. One bad punch and its over so until then its a buisness first. I could give a --it what the fans think.

personally i think that dawson should hold tight at 175 and pick them off as they come up. if he can make 168 without putting himself in jeopardy, i say go for it, but i think that he should hold it down at 175 and become an institution at that division, because all those guys are going to move up soon enough......... they always do.

Hopkins isnt gonna fight Dawson, so he might as well fight at 168

Hasn't Dawson only had like 6 fights at 175 anyway? If he says he can make the weight, he can make it.

Indeed. Why not stay at 175? The division might not be as stacked as 168, but there's still good fights to be made vs. Johnson, Cloud, Erdei and Diaconu. Eventually some 168 stars will have to move up and they will be gunning for the best LHW which in all likelyhood will be Dawson.

                      I see. You're a new boxingfan right?

                      FYI:
Cloud - Hardhitting mandatory. Potential excellent fight.
Erdei - Linear champion fighting out of Germany. That fight could give Chad a career purse.
Diaconu - I only mentioned him because Chad chose to vacate his belt rather than give him a deserved shot. There could be a grudge which might make the fight interesting.
