He has a much better trainer now than he has had in the past, and Haye said he thought Hatton is in the best condition he's ever been in. Haye also said "If Hatton is ever going to beat Pacquiao it is now,"

He did not make any predictions one way or the other about his chances, slim or otherwise, he's just saying that Hatton will have to fight the best fight he's ever fought, if he's going to have any chance of winning - which even most Hatton fans would agree with. In fact even Hatton himself has said that in the past.

So you're entitled to your opinion that Hatton's chances are slim, but Haye did not state his opinion on what he thinks his chances are, he just pointed out that Hatton will have to fight better than he has ever fought before if he's to have any chance.

    2) The only thing Haye said about the size thing is "If Ricky can beat the best pound-for pound fighter in the world, that will be a mammoth achievement. A lot of people think Pacquiao is small, but this guy is the real deal." He said nothing whatsoever about the De La Hoya fight. You are confusing what the author of the article said, when summarising what Hatton has said in the past, with what Haye himself said, which was simply that Pacquiao will not be too small and that he thinks the size advantage that Hatton says he has is illusory.
"Hatton needs to fight better than he did against Tszyu to get the win. Hatton needs to be better. "Hatton needs to fight better than he did against Tszyu to get the win

This is simple to understand I think, After all his fights Hatton best was when he defeated Tszyu, plain and simple. But Haye said the way I understand it, this is not enough! That means Pacman would not be defeated with in that bests of Hatton despites after all his years of experiences and gains. He needs to surpass that best to ensure his winning against Pacquiao! It's like that you need to surpass your personal best record which is seldom to happen. That's why if Haye's correct, his chance of winning is slim.

The referee was poor, very poor during that fight BUT it wasn't the only reason Ricky lost. He got knocked out!

            (3) Mosley would hardly be likely to use steroids now, with the Balco court case hanging over him, he's not that ******; and in any case there are other examples, (4) such as Hopkins, who was very much still in his prime at 36; or Glenn Johnson, who gave Dawson his toughest fight and nearly beat him, aged 39; or Vitali, who destroyed Peter aged 39.

            (5) Tszyu had plenty of time to rehydrate, I still don't accept that weight drain was a significant factor in that fight. Lots of fighters are given two hours to lose weight and do so, and fight well.

Cortez goes too far to the opposite extreme, that's just the way he is; he hardly permits any inside fighting at all; he's far too over-fussy, and never lets boxers fight their way out of clinches - (6) but that's just the way Cortez is, he wasn't biased against Hatton, he's just who he is.

Dave Parris permits too much holding, and allows too many fouls, but that's also just the way he is. Don't forget that Tszyu was every bit as much of a rough house brawler as Hatton is, he just got beaten at his own game that night. (7) Tszyu is one of the roughest, dirtiest fighters I have ever seen, every bit as dirty as Hatton, probably dirtier. He threw plenty of low blows and did plenty of his own holding. I don't think the ref was at all biased, he was pretty even-handed in terms of what fouls he chose to let go. I agree he was way too lenient (on both fighters), but that's just the way he is, just as being over-fussy is the way Cortez is.

Having said that, I think the sanctioning bodies should force all title fights involving more than one nationality to have international referees and judges, as that would get rid of the whole hometown bias issue. I don't understand why that isn't compulsory for all title fights, it should be.

But I still think Hatton's victory over Tszyu was at least as noteworthy as Pac's victories over Morales.
            1) Well sometimes ighters do get old surprisingly fast. I don`t mean this particular fight... But it happens that in the previous fight the boxer was ok, and in the next one he "suddenly" became old

            2) Lennox Lewis often gives predictions.... and many predicted that Pavlik would KO Hopkins... I don`t believe predictions. But, yes, Tszyu was a favorite in that fight... And, IMO, no wonder, he`s a better boxer than Hatton...

            3) Don`t think that we can be sure... I can`t say definitely, cause i can`t know.... It just seemed su****ious to me, that he was in such a great shape in Margarito fight, after being so unimpressive in fight with Mayorga...

            4) I don`t think we can count Hopkins... He is the phenomenon... There were few in the history who could stay in such tremendous shape in this age...
Yes, Johnson gave a good fight to Dawson in his age... and many think he have won it...
            P.S. Vitali is 37

            5) Can`t you suppose that it was possible? You also don`t know how much weight did he have to get rid of in those two hours... And if 1,5 day is enough for every fighter to rehydrate, than why do some come to fights as "weight-drained"... I think it is more than possible that Tszyu was weight-drained in Hatton fight...

            6) We also can`t be sure about this one as there had been many scandals with Cortez involved...

            7) Wow... I can admit that Tszyu uses holding sometimes... But i wouldn`t agree that he is that dirty as you say...

And at last, I do completely agree with your last but one paragraph

By your logic, almost every single Hatton fan, and even Hatton himself, is predicting that his chances are slim, because they nearly all believe, and have frequently said, that he has to fight better against Pac than he did against Tszyu if he's going to have a chance of winning. Hatton has specifically said in the past that he will have to do so, but that he is certain that he will.

The difference between Hatton and you is that Hatton feels certain that he will fight a lot better against Pac, with Floyd Snr in his corner, than he did against Tszyu, with Graham in his corner. You don't share his opinion, which is fair enough. That's all.

Like Hatton, most of Hatton's fans also think Hatton will fight better against Pac than he did against Tszyu. although some of them, like myself, think even that won't be enough and that he'll still lose. For example, I expect Hatton to fight a lot better against Pac than he did against Tszyu, and I expect it to be very competitive indeed - but I still expect Pac to win by UD.

Haye hasn't actually said whether he thinks Hatton will fight better against Pac than he did against Tszyu, but he said Hatton's in the best condition of his life, and that if ever there was a time when Hatton could win, now is that time - which implies that Haye probably does think he'll fight better against Pac than he did against Tszyu - although even if he does, that still may not be enough.

              EDIT: see here:
David Haye sees Hatton possibly getting dropped and having to get off the deck to win. He says Ricky will find a way to pull it out.

"Hatton has taken his career to new heights with his new trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr and a more professional, healthy approach to living between fights. I see Hatton winning a very close, hard-fought decision. He may have to get off the floor but he will find a way to win," Haye said.

As possible as that Morales was weight drained against Pac, but no more than that, IMO. I don't like people expressing strong confidence that either fighter was, as it seems to me that those who do so are just trying to denigrate the reputation of a fighter they don't like. I don't think the evidence for it is strong in either case.

Tszyu throw Sharmba Mitchell all around the ring in their first fight, and hurt Santos repeatedly with illegal rabbit punches. Santos said he was hurt far more by the rabbit punches than he was by the legal ones. He also frequently threw low blows.

                  I didn`t say that i didn`t like Hatton
I just think people exaggerate his win over Kostya...
And also, as i have said, i can`t affirm anything, as i can`t know... I`m just making suggestions and sharing them with others.

                  Thanks for conversation
