I couldn't believe my eyes, Juanma was too good! Also I couldn't believe ho much punishment Gerry took and never quit. Juanma is the man and everybody better be ready at 122 and 126 because he's coming. For those that thought Juanma couldn't go the distance, how wrong were you? He landed over 1,000 punches in 9 rds., and that 8 rd, damn! 84 power punches connected! Not even Paul Williams can accomplish that. I am sure that the ones that were avoiding him will do it even more now.

          Juanma stops ...

What torture? It just happened that Juanma threw more punches. Despite that, did you see Penalosa's feet wobble? Or any pain on his face? Penalosa was in fact still in his fighting mood and still appeared strong.

The fact is, Freddie Roach (who did a great disservice to his fighter) prematurely stopped the fight! At the time when Juanma was already showing frustration and exhaustion. The next rounds (10th onward) are actually very crucial for Penalosa. He gave away several rounds for Juanma, to reach that point. It was than about to be his "moment" in the fight, when very suddenly, it was taken away from him.

For me, the fight only proved that Juanma is not after all that good, as they claim! Penalosa is BETTER!

Juanma Lopez is the better, faster and stronger boxer in this fight but Gerry is a true warrior. Can't believe he is still throwing some good counters while being punished with a lot of power shots.

            Mad respect for both fighters.

i dont know what fight you was watching buddy but jaunma fought a disciplined fight and boy was he digging that body. You didnt see penesola complain too much , he might have the heart and chin of a champion, i give him all the credit for staying up but that doesnt mean it was safe for him to take all that punishment.. Jaunma never slowed down and he was in there with a vet and got the tko. Its funny cause to me this win shows he can not only **** with both hands , but that hes willoing to fight close and not be frustrated when things dont go so easily( like a 1st round ko) everybod y said he wouldnt stop him and that he wasnt gonna be able to fight in the later rounds...but he did exactly that and you gotta give him credit....25-0( 23 kos)...incl;uding now penesola!!

Stop trolling. I know you're a filipino. If you know something about fighting than running your big mouth its clear that jml is the better man.
Props to gerry for showing the heart of a champion but roach did the right thing stopping the fight before causing permanent damage. Penalosa will never surrender thats for sure the man lives up to his "fearless" monicker but a man can only take further punishment. Im glad that roach is gerrys trainer not filipino fool like you who is blinded by their love for their fighters. If the fight went on penalosa could have recieved permanent damage. And Lopez is the real deal the guy can ****.
