Running 5 miles vs 7 miles is nearly the same thing. Once you run past 4 miles you're running on the high and don't really feel much.

But thats not the way to train conditioning. Nearly all those people are doing it wrong. Yes even Paul Williams, Manny Pacquiao, all of them.

Ross Enamit's style of training is the best. You don't need to run 5-10 miles a day and catabolize your muscles. You need to training intervals with great intensity and little rest. You can get as much if not more conditioning work in 15 minute of interval conditioning vs 40-50 min of running.

Proof is that Ross who practices what he preaches is in better shape than 95% of fighters. He can run 5 miles in under 30 min and has the strength and muscle mass.

How does paul williams run 7 miles a day or any other boxer run that much? I try to do that much which I'm sure somtimes I'm able to get 7 or more a day but then I feel extremely tired. Do boxers take steroids for recovery or something? Because I end up getting alot of injuries the more I jog. But I'm also 180 pounds so I definitely got more to lug around.

I get so many feet injuries from jogging its not even funny, I'd be jogging today because its a beautiful day but I got injuries from yesterday from jogging.

Repitition and building a solid base, that and maybe they take vitamin B or other things to aid recovery.

A word of advice bro. It sounds to me like you need to get good shoes.

I would go to a running store ( a good one) know your arch type and all that and if over or underpronate etc etc. They will let you try on and run in multiple pairs.

Having the right shoes, not the most expensive but the ones that fit your gait can make all the difference in the world.
