Jermain fought a GREAT CLOSE fight in the rematch, why didnt Kelly expose his flaws again?

Kelly won, but it was hardly an "exposing" style victory...

Jermain Taylor helped Pavlik beat him in the first fight... thats not an excuse or anything, although it may sound like it... but Jermain gave everything he had trying to get Pavlik out of there, it was definitely the start of his downfall, you could see it in the very next round..

    I disagree.

Taylor did not throw that much. Ive seen fighters throw a helluva lot more than that early in a fight and still have more than enough to win the fight.

Because this time Jermain conserved his energy more, and i believe Pavlik tried to Box more to prove he had something different to offer. However when all said and done Taylor lost that fight to, and the reason he lost was because even though he was countering effectively in the rounds he was not throwing enough. He would of thrown more there is a chance he would of got torn up more.

It was in my eyes, because Taylor's lackluster displays caught up with him and exposed his mental weakness and stamina. Steward would scream at him in a lot of fights and it would go in one ear out the other.

'Jermain Taylor helped Pavlik beat him in the first fight" even if thats true they had rematch and Taylor lost.

      Good Reasoning.
You haven't answered what I said, but OK.

      Taylor: Hopkins 2x, Winky, Spinks

      Pavlik: Miranda

      Ooops!

As I said above everyone. All of Taylor's fight are close. This one will be also. Talent wise, Froch is not even in Taylor's league, just like Pavlik was not in his league. Taylor will, like always, fight down to the level of his competition and that will make the fight competitive.

Were not talking about what other fighters have done.

Were talking about Jermain Taylor in the Kelly Pavlik fight. and he ABSOLUTELY threw himself out... no doubt about it... why do you think he wasnt throwing enough punches after the 2nd round?

            Good Reasoning.
Hopkins X2: Both close fights, many have argued that Taylor lost.
            Winky: draw.
            Spinks: SD.
            Pavlik X2: Lost both.

And Taylor was knocked down by Jeff Lacy.

Ironically enough i believe Taylor blew himself against Pavlik because he felt he HAD a point to prove, because of the lackluster display's and debatable decisions.

Ironic that him trying to make statement should lead to him getting rail roaded by Moby

How close was Jermain to stopping kelly in the 2nd round?

I know the whole "almost doesnt count" reply to that.

                But humor me...

A different ref, the Pavlik fight would of been history...

Liek Ive been saying the whole time... Taylor isnt above the elite competition he has faced, but he has proved to be right in with them... he DOES belong there... he has wins, CLOSE wins, losses, and close losses... with ELITE fighters...

He has proven himself to be an elite fighter...

I know Pavlik beat him twice? whats really to answer about that?

Ive talked about JT throwing himself out in the first fight... but thats more personal opinion, and will basically tailspin us into a 3 page debate between kelly and jt..
