    The point is this:
    STOP HAVING DOUBLE STANDARDS.

and i personally dont call if floyd fights another ww again as long as he is fighting good fights agains great fighters reguardless the weightclass...
You need a mirror dude. Seriously.

Anyway, I have no issues with Floyd fighting Marquez at 147. Why not? But you can't say "regardless of weight class" because they exist for a reason! Like I said before, Ricky Hatton was the world's top junior welter but we found out against Collazo that he was no better than top ten at 147! So a fighter may be a great fighter in one weight class but just a good one in another. End of story. Mayweather-Marquez at 147? Decent scrap but not a legacy builder--no way, shape or form. Especially when they other guy is practically pleading to keep the weight down so he doesn't artificially pump himself to that weight.

If a fighter moves up and fights a Mediocre fighters at a higher weight effectively and look good doing it. does that now mean they prove they can fight beat everybody at that weight class...???

When Roy beat John Ruiz at Heavyweight, did that mean he can also beat Lennox lewis??? Because Roy Proved he can fight effectively and look good at Heavyweight against a good fighter.

      and on the other side

If a fighter moves up and fights real good competition but doesnt look impressive doing it, does it now mean he shouldnt fight at that weight?

I mean some fighters you just not going to look good against period.

Thats has nothing to do with you, but it has everything to do with the other fighter.

I mean look at Floyd first fight at 135 pounds...against Castillo..
Floyd didnt look impressive at all winning that fight ... but did that mean he should of moved back down to 130??? because he wasnt effective at 135 as he was at 130???

      Of Course not...!!!

      do you get the point?

being effective has to do with your opponent very little with the fighter..!!

Luis Collazo is not a bum and he is a very difficult fighter to beat especially if that is your FIRST fight at Welterweight. Like it was for Ricky Hatton.

I am pretty sure JMM can look impressive at WW if he fought Delvin Rodriguez and Michael Jennings instead of Mayweather too but that is not the point.

Your Opponent is the deciding factor in a fighter looking effective not the fighter most of the time

As good as Collazo is - he is a top ten fighter at welterweight. Nothing more, nothing less. So Hatton at 147 was not anywhere near what he was at 140. Do you get that point?

Second, to say that being effective has to do with your opponent but very little with the fighter is false. How could being effective not have anything to do with you? I sure hope you don't use that excuse at work! LOL. It's a combination of both.

Finaly, I agree with the statement that moving up and fighting mediocre fighters or not quite the best fighters doesn't prove you can beat all the others in that division. The question is, do you agree with your statement? If you did, you'd want Floyd to fight the best welters, no?

As for the question, i'd like to see Floyd fight all the best fighters out there to his disposal.

People say all he has to fight a real WW and nobody else..!!!
thats what make floyd fans feel like you guys are bing hypocritical....

            and plus..

Floyd has already become lineal WW champion of the world.

At the end of the day I do not require Mayweather to stay in 1 division and fight every up and comer their is ....Because he has already did that at 130.
when he stayed there for 27 fights.

            As of Right Now.
I just want to see Mayweather fight Big Names reguardless the weight class.
from 140-160 i just dont care about him being in 1 division.

I just want him to enhance his legacy by making history.

History would be if he went and got himself a middleweight title
History would be if he went and became a lineal champion @ 154
History would be if he went and became a lineal champion @ 140

Those are the kind of fights i want to see him in.

Because at the end of the day every division has a Joshua Clottey and a Miguel Cotto. But every division does not have a Juan Manuel Marquez, or a Manny Pacquiao.

and I want to see Mayweather fights with proven great fighters reguardless the weightclass.
Well the real question is what weight does Floyd wanna fight at? If he wants to fight at Welterweight which according to the the press releases, is the weight he wants to fight at. Then why do you Floyd nuthuggers constantly stick up for him fighting smaller guys rather than fighting the elite at Welterweight like Cotto or Mosley?

Cos let's face it since he's Money Mayweather then surely he realises that a fight against Shane or Miguel will make him at least as much money as a fight against JMM. The reaon he doesn't is because Floyd is a PUSSY. It's the reason he retired in the first place because he didn't want to take on the proper WW's.

Even though I think Bob Arum is a ****sucker, I hope he says to Mayweather 'If you want Pacquiao then fight Cotto first'. I guarantee we'd see Floyd's Bitch Ass retire pretty quick smart yet again.

                    Addressing The Weightclass Situation

                    What’s more important????

What the Fighters weighs before the fight ???

                    or

What the Fighter weighs at the time of the fight???

The reason that weight classes exist at all is to ensure a fair fight. Fair and safe competition begins with the requirement that the two men facing each other are the same size in terms of weight.

Imagine if we had same day weigh in's...

                    Like Larry Merchent said:
"Ultimately what will happen is that fighters will start to fight at a weight that is more natural for them, instead of cheating the system"

If Fighters knew that they would not have more than a day to replenish thier body, they would not have pretended to be a welterweight instead of a middleweight.

If you are suppose to be a 147 pound fighter you should not be rehydrating to 165 pounds..., Correct????

This tells me that Fighters are not just replenishing water but actually gaining weight.

At Welterweight Floyd fights at a Physical Disadvantage every fight, because he is coming in at the welterweight limit and other fighters are coming in as Middleweights...! How is that a fair fight and not a adavantage for the other fighter???

I am pretty sure if Floyd wanted to fight middleweights, he would rather fight for a middleweight title rather than a welterweight title. Where he suppose to be fighting 147 pound fighters not 165 pounds Fighters posing as 147 pound fighters....
