I don't want to see Chad Dawson fight Tarver, Hopkins, or Jones. I would love to see him fight George, Cloud, or Mack... He made it pretty clear he does not want anything to do with Johnson, and that's our world champion? WOW!

Shouldn't HBO be putting on other contenders to get the fans more interested in a show down with Dawson. It doesn't make sense to put on one person in the light heavy weight division. They should build other fighters in the that division to build up a good fight. More people will watch. Dawson has a one track mind, and he's afraid to mention real contenders because it will be to much of a challenge for him. That's just my opinion...

I like Dawson, his style and attitude impress me. He has a damn good resume for a guy with 27 fights. Calzaghe made it clear that he didn't want to fight him, and Hopkins has said the same. That speaks volumes IMO.

He;s doing the right things and letting people know he's there. Hopkins might have to fess up and fight him, or retire. He can't keep ignoring him like Calzaghe did.
I agree. Joe Calzaghe and Roy Jones both made it very clear they don't want anything to do with him. Jones being more realistic about it saying he "reminds me of myself" and smiles as if no way in hell he would face him. Smart decision.

Joe, from what I took from it just says Dawson's not ready and that there is always a "NEW" guy to beat. But as HBO commentator Max Kellerman said, NO Joe, he is "THE" man to beat.

But that's neither here nor there.

Hopkins is the only guy (unless I missed something) that hasn't really said to much about him. I wouldn't mind seeing Hop and Dawson go at it. If he would beat Hop I don't know of anyone that could beat Dawson.....

Hopkins doesn't want to know either. His excuses are pretty similar to Calzaghe, but he also said he ''doesn't want to ruin the fabric of the sport'' because of the way he beat Pavlik.

No wants to dance with bad Chad.

I haven't seen enough Dawson but Bernard would be picking a difficult fight. I think it'd be another close disputed decision whatever the outcome is.
He would definitely be picking a tough fight, and he has had some trouble with speed (see the Calzaghe fight), but this is a perfect way to put the cherry on top of his career. Taking on the "next big thing" at LHW, not cherry picking adamek or some other slow fighter. Plus, it looks like adamek v glenn johnson is in the works, which I would LOVE to see. Winner there can figh winner of hopkins v dawson. Bhop is still very quick with his footwork and hand speed which will give dawson fits. His last couple of big wins are over guys that aren't all that fast so trying to solve the bhop puzzle will not be easy for him. I would LOVE to see this fight for my boy bhop!

Glenn Johnson is dying to dance with bad chad bro and might be able to take him. He's dying for it and I bet that adamek would rematch him (only because he aint scared). Adamek would lose again though.

No way. Hopkins beat Tarver when Tarver was the Ring Champ and coming off of wins over Roy Jones & Glen Johnson and considered the best at LH. And Hopkins was moving up from 160. Dawson beat Tarver over 2 years after he was dethroned by hopkins.

Anyways, Dawson needs to give Johnson the rematch he deserves before calling out anyone else. He has unfinished business to take care of
