That left hook is sure purty.
He was reckless last night at times but how can you blame him.
He knocked the guy down twice in the first minute and Martinez couldn't hurt him.
He moved his head against the biggest puncher in three divisions Darchinyan, and threw a counter that obliterated him.
What the hell is not to like about him?
A defensive lapse or two in the last fight is forgiveable.
When he's on and boxing he moves his head plenty fine, but last night was a little different since he rocked Martinez with the first punch he threw, so he was going for broke.
Can't blame the kid really. He wanted to make an impression at home and got a little reckless. and Martinez had nothing for him.
I think it will be great to see him move up.

Firstly, the Darchinyan fight was a mismatch from the get-go; he fought a tactically brilliant fight and showed superior class over a guy (Darchinyan) that a lot of people rate highly, even after the loss.
Secondly, he is a flyweight who does what a lot of flyweights aren't doing - he's knocking people out. All of his world title fights have ended in KOs. That alone puts him in a position to garner attention because how many fighters on the elite level can routinely score knockouts, especially at the lower weight divisions?
Martinez was looked at as a very serious contender by most interested pundits and Donaire blew him away.
exactly, well put ryno!Comment
