That alone puts him in a position to garner attention because how many fighters on the elite level can routinely score knockouts, especially at the lower weight divisions?

Martinez was looked at as a very serious contender by most interested pundits and Donaire blew him away.
Not only that but i don't really see Donaire being hyped up that much, actually not that many threads was made about him until last night( and of course shortly after the Darchinyan fight). He deserves credit, hes consistently knocking out quality fighters and he wants to fight the best opponents.

After 7 years and counting and they still say that about PAC!

It ain't Nonito's fault his career took a dip after his destruction of Darchinnyan. Can't wait, bring on Montiel.

Rolando, you know I don't like doing this, but I gotta give you a reality check.

Darchinyan, who was Donaire's best win, is now a bantamweight favored to beat Joseph Agbeko for a title belt, right?

        A featherweight fighting flyweights...

Martinez, who Donaire blasted out last night, was a junior bantamweight who dropped down in weight to challenge a man whom he outweighed by a half a pound at the weigh-in.

        A featherweight fighting flyweights...

i never said that about pac.... i'm talking about wins like Amir khan over MAB did you see the avatars and posts all that week?? or PWill over Wright... both were the greatest boxers ever produced the whole next week after their big wins.... both are good, im not saying their garbage or anything, but they get way to hyped by 1 win

I expected Donaire to win, he made it easy just like i thought.... i was surprised by solis losing, if you're pointing at the fact im MEx-Amer... i don't choose who wins a boxing fight ONLY BASED ON THE BOXERS NATIONALITY, i look at his skills, i ain't like u buddy

                    I think you're overrating donaire's hype.

                    donaire isn't even that popular

That's why they need to hype Nonito. Nonito, I have no idea how good he can be, he surely has the talent to take it even further. But, he needs the test and hopefully Arum does his thing and not waste Nonito's future.
