Donaire has now taken over as the biggest hype job in the sport.

He has taken the title from Mikkel Kessler when it comes to NSB posters. Hype, hype, and more hype. Donaire gets one good win by one clean shot by Vic and now he walks on water. Get real, this guy hasn't faced tough competition outside of Vic.

Don't get me wrong, Donaire needs to hit up some big names while moving up in weight, but you make it sound like he took out vic with one punch. That fight was as one sided as it gets. He dominated Vic in every single way until he sent him crawling around the ring. I'm not sure why any Vic fan would want that rematch.

Firstly, the Darchinyan fight was a mismatch from the get-go; he fought a tactically brilliant fight and showed superior class over a guy (Darchinyan) that a lot of people rate highly, even after the loss.

Secondly, he is a flyweight who does what a lot of flyweights aren't doing - he's knocking people out. All of his world title fights have ended in KOs. That alone puts him in a position to garner attention because how many fighters on the elite level can routinely score knockouts, especially at the lower weight divisions?

Martinez was looked at as a very serious contender by most interested pundits and Donaire blew him away.

Umm, he was slated to take on Montiel, but the b*tch @ss pendejo backed out, because he could no longer make weight.

Also, Nonito had been mismanaged by his promoter, Shaw, it played a large part as to why Nonito was f**kin' inactive after destroying Darchinnyan.

Hopefully, after last night's fight, Arum works his magic and gets Nonito the big dogs.

I don't see people running around piling praises upon Donaire.

We are just hearing alot at the moment, because he dominated Martinez last night.

Alot of people (myself included, and I certainly wasnt the only one) picked Martinez to beat Donaire, or atleast give him a good run (he had his moments but that fight was Donaire's). Even before that there was a consensus that Donaire's career was off track since the Darchinyan fight.

I might have agreed with you before yesterday, but Donaire totally outclassed a pretty good unbeaten fighter. It will be interesting to see if he improves moving up in weight.
