Maybe because Jermain never wanted to fight him unless he got 10 million. Is Jermain Taylor worth 10 mil? No.

If I were Kessler I'd want to find someone who's already proven they can cut it, especially after having had such a terrible experience with his current promoters.
On one hand I think Kessler ends up signing with german team Sauerland. They have shown considerable interest. On the other hand Kessler has emphasized that he want's to fight in the US and I'm not sure Sauerland can deliver.

But now I get to laugh at another. Thanks.

Oh, and for what it's worth, only 17 out of 46 Calzaghe fights were in Wales, most of them early in his career. Compare the number of fights someone like Roy Jones had outside the US. I'll give you a clue: 0.

isnt wales part of the United Kingdom? He's fought out of 46 fights, 40 took place in the UK. ignorant douche bag? how about coming up with a rebuttal thats a complete sentence. As for the media bashing freedom of the press comment, that was a response to a guy who was complaining that atlas & rosenthal were always bashing someone. They are the media/press, journalist. Thats their job.

As for roy jones jr not going anywhere, why would he? he lives & fights in america. The ultimate proving ground. not in the m.e.n. arena UK. Its not the other way around. U make your bones fighting in the U.S.

Dont forget roy jones was shamelessly robbed of a gold medal in the olympics hence his reluctance to fight overseas.

I hope i get a much detailed rebuttal than ignorant douche bag.

Where are u from by the way?

Calzaghe showed a lot of heart in the ring, if you can't see that you either haven't watched him or you're just a hater. He fought several fights with a broken or injured hand, and still managed to win. He got up immediately whenever knocked down, always fought back immediately, never went on the defensive, and in one case, against Mitchell, he came off the floor to knock Mitchell out in the same round. He always fought aggressively, even when fighting much bigger punchers than he was.

In The Ring's "Digging Deep" column just after the Jones fight, they wrote:
"Calzaghe demonstrated what I'm talking about when HBO pay per view showed a terrific slow-motion shot of him getting tagged by a face-crunching tornado of an uppercut from Roy Jones. It momentarily rearranged Calzaghe's face into something resembling one of those Pekingese pooches whose features look like they've been squeezed in a vice. Being on the wrong end of a shot like that could easily alter a person's life, and not for the better.

"Fighters with great chins can survive even perfect, explosive punches like that one, so it wasn't terribly surprising that Calzaghe weathered the storm, just as Jones weathered his own storms. What distinguished Calzaghe was his surreal reaction to the beastly shot. The slow-motion camera caught him already launching a counter-punch (a right hook) even as his contorted face was still absorbing horrific damage. Insane.

"Such deep seated ferocity resides inside a person's core being. It can't be taught, nor easily found. Add breathtaking talent and the fisticator soars into that slim patch of territory inhabited by the all-time greats. Calzaghe would have earned a place there anyway, but the beautiful camera work leaves doubters with no ground to stand on."

kessler to Golden boy/Taylor ran from Calzaghe

1)Kessler will be delivered to Golden Boy in a similar arrangement where Calzaghe fought Jones at MSG without overt Golden Boy support(not even a GBP banner in the arena)--but it was Golden Boy's show...some hack named Mike Marley is mucking up kessler
2)Taylor has heart, but his promoter DiBella didn't want Taylor to fly to the UK to fight---FOOLISH, if Taylor had gone and won, he would have $$$(more than he has) and a whole different career. A July 4, 2007 fight was scuttled due to taylor's promoter's fears
