Cleverly left the Calzaghe stable last September.

Oddly enough I think I suggested it elsewhere quite recently? That's a good idea anyway, it was kinda obvious he should do this. Calzaghe runs his own promotions -- Kessler needs a new promoter -- Calzaghe rates Kessler. It should work.

If I were Kessler I would say I will sign with you if you give me a rematch...

That makes sense. Calzghe spent the bulk of his career staying in wales racking up title defenses without fighting a great fighter until the 2 biggest names in his ledger were 39 & 43, because before kessler fought calzaghe, he spent the almost all of his career fighting in denmark not fighting great fighters.

2 peas in a pod. Maybe calzaghe can guide kessler to fight 50 & 60 year old legends. I heard tommy hearns is still itching to fight. If he's too young maybe he can get former middleweight champ & 80 year old jake lamotta?
He might be just ripe for the picking.

Do you think calzaghe has the touch and skill to manuever with the sharks in those waters?

He does have connections obviously but what else? Track-record in the promotional industry so far is less than stellar as far as I know.

I don`t like Calzaghe... and i think B-Hop had won the fight...

But right now i can only wish him good luck in his promotion business. At least, because, i don`t want him to make a comeback in several years because he "feels he has something left" (read - i need money)...

Calzaghe hasn't proved that he's a good promoter yet though. That's as much about being a good businessman as anything else. Which means being ruthless and a deal maker and a hard negotiator, and a good salesman, and I'm not convinced he's got any of those qualities.

If I were Kessler I'd want to find someone who's already proven they can cut it, especially after having had such a terrible experience with his current promoters.

Why oh why are you such an ignorant douchebag? I was just laughing at one of your comments in another thread:

But now I get to laugh at another. Thanks.

Oh, and for what it's worth, only 17 out of 46 Calzaghe fights were in Wales, most of them early in his career. Compare the number of fights someone like Roy Jones had outside the US. I'll give you a clue: 0.
