Bob Arum is an absolute **** face, so he's not gonna allow Pacquiao to fight anyone else unless that fighter is in his own stable? Well why are u making him fight above the weight he wants to fight at (LWW - 140) and setting up fights with WW Cotto and LMW bum JCC, just because they're ****ing Top Rank fighters. If you'e gonna mention a complete nobody like Chavez Jr then why is Pacquiao-Valero not being mentioned? Oh right, it's because Valero actually stands a chance of KOing Pac, and he fights 2 weight classes below JCC. Howabout u let Pac fight some actual LW's and LWW's, let Cotto fight Mosley if he get's past Clottey, and let J Chavez Jr fight someone with a beating pulse before he can even be mentioned in a fight as big as against someone like Pac.

Bob Arum is so pathetic, have some bloody faith in your fighter, with this proposed PAC-JCC fight, Arum is really showing how little he thinks of JCC, the fact that he feels he hs no way of really making a name for himself other than being a Pacquiao opponent. The only reason I like Pac-Cotto next is because when Cotto beats Clottey and then wins against Pac, he will be the one and only target for PBF. Not that Floyd would fight Cotto, he'd ather fight JMM and then just retire again.

To me it's about daring to be great. Which means taking risks and challenging himself. He's daring to be great by fighting Clottey, but IMO, not by fighting Pac, I see that as a big backward step. If he could beat Clottey, Mosley again, Mayweather, and Williams, he would go down in history as an ATG. Even if he lost one of those fights, if he won the majority and was competitive in the one he lost, that run would give him ATG status.

Beating Pac doesn't help his cause at all, IMO, and he's running out of time, because Mosley is getting old, Mayweather will only stay unretired for so long, and Williams will only be able to fight at Welter for so long.

As for the money, he'll make a lot of money from the above fights, he's already a millionaire, I think he could afford to put his legacy above short term gain.

Any Pacman fight beyond 140, people will say it's a mismatch
So if pacquiao choses to fight beyond 140 he'll get bigger guys and nobody should say sh.. about it. Between Pac and Hatton I'm choosin Pacman to win by decision I don't think he can KO a Hatton in his prime. And between Pac and Cotto I think at 147 Cotto wins because of his power almost matchin speed. Of course Pacman would make more money fighting mayweather, but if Pacquiao beats Hatton and Cotto on the same year; it'll prepare the scenario for a supermegafight against Mayweather in 2010 probably breaking all records. It'll need mayweather make a tune-up fight in 2009, maybe against Juan Manuel Marquez wich is not tuneup, actually he's on the top three fighter and would be superfight; so if he can beat marquez it'll set the stage for Pacquiao-Mayweather in a fight I see pretty even and I'll enjoy without pickin one.

First things first is that both fighters win their upcoming fights are not easy and Bob wants to Cotto stay in he side because Cotto is not too happy with it but I doubt that the Pac take that fight because it may suffer permanent damage as Cotto is very strong but also can be the fight of the year VS

Making this fight is a great way of pleasing Cotto into staying with Arum.
Otherwise Cotto might be Leaving. Manny won't lose much if loses to Cotto and if Cotto looks bad in the fight Arum isn't obligated into signing him back. Even if Cotto leaves Arum would be making alot of money since he promotes both fighters.
