      Your logic is befuddling

Cotto wins at 147 but loses at 140? Where did that genius come into play from? Unless your banking on a Cotto weight drain.

You all said Pac/DLH was a mismatch

This is why they enter the squared ring people...

        i agree.....

all things being equal, cotto at his best vs. pacman at his best = cotto wins....

the only way cotto loses, is if he's injured, sick, or under some other condition that doesn't allow him to be 100%......

if the fight is at 140, cotto will blow up overnight anyways.....

          very possible

first of all, cotto needs to win it'll be tough one but I see him win by decision. Then I think a fight w Pacman is very possible cause Cotto's contract with Arum expires in December, so Arum needs to get Cotto a big fight to keep him or at least get the most money out of him in a last Cotto fight under top rank. Forget about Chavez jr cause nobody would like to see him fight, he just fight bums, and that kid is just annoying he was talkin sh.. about De la Hoya fighting Pacman for being mismatch and just a money fight; and now he wants to fight Pacman when he is a 154pounder. Screw him! I'll put him in a fight against margacheato in Mexico hoping they kill each other.

So... Arum is saying that 40% of what Pac can make fighting Mayweather is less than what Pac can get from fighting Cotto.

I see Pacquiao putting up a fight but in the end Cotto's power would
be enough to seal the deal. Manny is not technical enough defensively
to take Cotto's punch away from him.

the thing is that cottos contract expires now..

and hes using that as a weapon agaisnt arum!!

hes telling arum.. either u get me a fight with pac.. which is gonna represent for him his biggest payday.. and a chance to beat the current p4p king. or im out...... its a win win situation for cotto.. so i dont see why he shouldnt go for it..

so... if your question is... that if im ok with hum pursuing pac after clottey...

                    Yes. im ok with that.

cotto is a big star.... and he deserve to get a big payday! just like hatton, mayweather and pac.

with that being said. i think is a missmatch... and cotto overwelms him.
To me it's about daring to be great. Which means taking risks and challenging himself. He's daring to be great by fighting Clottey, but IMO, not by fighting Pac, I see that as a big backward step. If he could beat Clottey, Mosley again, Mayweather, and Williams, he would go down in history as an ATG. Even if he lost one of those fights, if he won the majority and was competitive in the one he lost, that run would give him ATG status.

Beating Pac doesn't help his cause at all, IMO, and he's running out of time, because Mosley is getting old, Mayweather will only stay unretired for so long, and Williams will only be able to fight at Welter for so long.

As for the money, he'll make a lot of money from the above fights, he's already a millionaire, I think he could afford to put his legacy above short term gain.
