Well, or I should say he never came over to America and fought the top fighters of that weight class in his prime.

Oscar on the other hand fought everyone available. Oscar will be much, much higher in the all time ranking when it's all said and done.

Boxing is like college football in a way, it's not so much your record but your strength of schedule.
    Co-Fking-Signed lol

The fact Oscar moved weights aswel i spose gave him more options, whereas calzaghe proved to be the greatest in 1 weight division, and moved up a weight division to just show he was good enough to win a title out of his comfort zone.

De La Hoya had the better career. Nobody can match Oscar when it comes to opponents faced. But P4P I'd say Calzaghe is the better fighter. Unlike Oscar Joe rose to the ocassion when he had to and like all great champs he showed great heart when faced with adversity.

Had he gone over to America around 1999-2001 there would be no question he would be an ATG.

        oscar.

calzaghe's only achievements are beating atg/hofers hopkins and jones.

oscar's wins over old chavez and whitaker are better than those 2 wins considering how much older hopkins and roy was even compared to the old chavez and whitaker.

oscar is a very good to great fighter but he is NOT an all-time great.

        but neither is joe.

oscar's LOSSES to prime floyd and prime tito is better than any of joe's wins imo. he was competitive to a prime #1 p4p fighter and he arguably beat tito.

Chavez was done when Oscar beat him, his hunger wasn't there. Hopkins was and still is a top 5 p4per the fact he was 42 means nothing.

Both World class fighters, that's where the similarities end.

                Oscar.

Really??? How do you know this? Calzaghe would have been a match for any fighter from MW-LHW in the last 10 years.

de la hoya had better opposition in his first 15 fights than calzaghe had for 90% of his career. De La Hoya by far.
