Exactly. He became that golden boy in barcelona with the US flag d****d around his back. Pacman will never get that kind of love with another countries flag on him like that. Hes the phillipines goldenboy by all means, and loved in america. But hell never attain what oscar had here in america, nobody can at this point.

PacD, did you predict Pacquiao would get his ass whooped by a washed up Morales, or get a draw with Marquez, or get busted up and barely scratch out a SD in the rematch?

You predicted Pacquiao would KO Marquez and Barrera II. You said Margarito hasn't defeated any legends therefore he could never beat Pacquiao and is not in his league. Since Calzaghe beat RJJ and Hopkins (two greater legends than anyone Pac faced), I guess that makes him the greatest fighter of this generation, right? LOL
I just don't predict Pac wins all the time. But I expect him to win most of the time. I was wrong with some of them. MOrales prove me wrong with the 1st win but that was tainted with the Change Gloves & the missing medical that requires Pac to be Drawn Blood days before the fight. Without those distraction, Pac just dominates.

It's hard to KO a fighter who's just willing to survive in MAB. JMM is the one who prove me wrong. That's the guy I now respect. He deserves #2 rank P4P. He got his due but still he loses to Pac twice in my book.

      Marga Cheato never achieved anything.

Calzaghe never beat these guys in their Prime. RJJ is clearly shot & Bhop was old. If Calzaghe at least Knockout both then I give him more respect. Pac showed How to beat an OLD Legend. Win every minute of every round & Stopped them. Pac did it coming up 2 weight classes after already moved up many more before that. Calzaghe never even come close to what Pac has done.

DLH's selling point is his good looks, his Gold medal & personality. Pac's is different. WE watched Pac for excitement, for action, For Knockout, we anticipate an amazing thing to happen and he never dissapoint... win, lose or Draw.

Again I never claimed Pac will matched DLH's Popularity in the US. What's I'm saying is... Pac is now the Money man in boxing after DLH. Not Floyd ...not Hatton!!!

De La Hoya had the same expectations in his prime. I guess you werent there when de la hoya won that gold medal. I guess you werent there when De La Hoya beat the hell out of ruelas. I guess you werent there when De La Hoya fought Quartey. I guess you werent there when De La Hoya knocked out Vargas.

De La Hoya was ALWAYS in a good fight just the same, very few of his fights lacked action. The difference is that De La Hoya at this point fought far better comp than Pacman. His resume was loaded, and it would take alot for pac to match his comp.

I know you have only been watching boxing likely the last 3 years, but know this, when de la hoya was in a fight, just the same was expected, except it was all of america, not just pockets of people in certain places.

True I wasn't there during DLH's prime time but youtube was here now to provide me with Old footage of DLH. I find Pac fight way more exciting.

Again this thread is not about Pac matching DLH's popularity. Probably nobody can match DLH's Popularity for a long time but Pac is here now to carry the load as the Boxing Moneymaker. So who you think is the money man now that Dlh's gone?

Youtube is not a substitute for the atmosphere that surrounded DLH's fights. You cant say who was exciting and who wasnt based on youtube fight clips. You find pac way more exciting because you are experiencing his fights live, not because you can make a valid comparison, but whatever.

The money man is Floyd mayweather, nobody clears more than him per fight at this point now that DLH is gone.

I have HBO, showtime, espn Classic & versus & I've seen & recorded all DLH fight I could find there to compare. If Pac is American, as good looking & Speak straight English as DLH then I'm sure Pac will be more Popular than DLH or SRL.

But there's no more DLH fight there for PBF to make mega money. Guess who he needs to call to make mega dollar payday?
