Valero's pop is on another level for this division and seing the way Prescott struggled in his last fight against a fringe contender, there's no way he win this. Valero KO 2.

A prospect is an up and coming fighter that is expected to win titles, Valero has won titles in 2 weight classes, once a fighter wins a title, he shouldn't be known as a prospect anymore IMO, in fact once a fighter starts getting ranked in the top 10, he should be considered a contender more than a prospect, even if it's relatively early in his career.

He hasn't yet proved himself against any of the top fighters in either division, and because he looks so raw and wild in his fights, the jury is very much out on whether he will be able to cut it when he does step up in class. Prescott will be by a long way his biggest test so far, IMO. And his own Ring ranking is based on his KO record rather than on the fighters he's actually beaten. I don't mind calling him a contender though. In my eyes you can be both a prospect and a contender, because prospect simply means unproven, and until he fights one of the top fighters in his division, I think he is unproven.Last edited by Dave Rado; 04-16-2009, 08:57 AM.

****tttttttttttt. This is the best news I've heard all week!
I think Prescott will make Valero look like the bum that he is. Even though I practically loathe the guy otherwise for KO'ing Khan, I still appreciate the fact that he can **** and box. Valero, on the other hand, disappointed me majorly after all the hype I heard about him on here - I watched a few fights of his (both recent and old), and I found myself laughing...
For real. I was fuckin chuckling ****less at this mullet-haired prick swinging his arms about wildly, leaving himself wide open, and hoping for something to land. Sure, Prescott kinda telegraphs his haymakers as well, but at least he keeps his earmuffs up and actually looks like a boxer out there. There's just something far more likeable about him than that tattooed Venezuelan who hasn't fought anyone with a pulse.
So I don't see him going too far with Prescott. As soon as a bomb comes his way, Valero gets KO'ed in 5. And then I'll really be laughing - mainly because that could mean my long-awaited dream match of Katsidis-Prescott.
