Of course Pitalua got dropped out of the rankings, he just lost to Valero, who took his ranking. Lethargic performance or not, Casamayor was considered the best lightweight at the time along with Juan Diaz and Santa Cruz beat him in everyone's eyes apart from the three blind mice at ringside and Santa Cruz has always been a dangerous guy, his chin has failed him when it mattered most but that doesn't take away from Pitalua's win. If Santa Cruz had gotten the decision, Valero would be the man in the division right now.

And it makes sense that Mosquera is ranked anymore considering he is retired.

Not that much bigger. 5' 11" to 5' 6". Same difference as DLH-Pacquiao, more or less. It's the power and carelessness that'll decide this fight - and I think the latter, in the case of Valero, will be the finisher.

Prescott did not struggle! He dominated the entire fight and hurt Toledo repeatedly. That's like saying Hopkins struggled against Pavlik.

What's with the xenophobia? Kotelnic isn't a big puncher, but isn't a bum. He's ranked the #3 contender in the division by The Ring, and is ranked #6 by boxrec. He's a good boxer.

And even if he was what you call a bum, it wouldn't be because of where he's from.

A lot of people are sleeping on Kotelnik, not realizing what a giant step up this will be for Khan. And you're right, the "Euro bum" comments are idiotic.
