Obviously Cotto serves as a bigger threat to Pac, but all this talk that Cotto steam rolls over Manny is crazy. Manny's speed is something Cotto has yet to see. Zab was fast, but he has no control. Manny comes at you non-stop. Now I don't think Manny would sit there and trade all night, but he'll definitely get shots off on Cotto as would Cotto to Manny. Timing would be Cotto's best weapon against Manny's speed which Cotto is very good at doing as well as his jab being a force in the fight.

I really think either guy could win. I would probably favor Cotto, but wouldn't be shocked to see Manny pull out a win...and I'm a Cotto supporter, just calling it like I see it.

Thats find, everybody have their opinions.

But Im with Mangler here, any of the top 6 WWs steam rolls over Pacquiao specially, Cotto or shane.

and that's understandable, but the opinions are all based on Pac's size or frame being too small against the top WWs. I've just learned to give Pac the benefit of the doubt until he's in there with a top WW and gets beat because a lot of us aren't used to the notion of a smaller guy like Pac who made his name at lower weights coming up to fight and beat a top WW or in the case of May 2nd a 140lb fighter. But history's shown smaller guys aren't always at a disadvantage when moving up (i.e. Henry Armstrong).

Again, Im not saying Manny beats any and everyone at 147, but he has the ability to win against some of the top names.

Miguel Cotto was able to catch up to some fast fighters like zap Judah and the last guy he beat. Manny did beat A. Barrera and Oscar, but they were older and slower fighters.

Its easier to compare Miguel Cotto to Juan Manuel Marquez and I think Cotto is a better body puncher and a harder hitter. Plus Cotto has some decent speed. He showed some good hand speed when he fought Shane Mosley and in his last fight he was in much better shape than he was in his past two previous fights. Considering all this I think Cotto can atleast do as good as Marquez did vs Pacquiao and I believe that says alot.

Still if Manny Pacquiao loses to Cotto or any other bigger fighter he shouldn't lose any credit. He's already beaten some of the best and he was almost unstoppable in his natural weight class.

Cotto has no problem using his left hook against southpaws, and he has no problem turning southpaw against southpaws. See Quintana and Zab Judah.

Cotto also has an extremely underrated right hand, see Randal Bailey and Shane Mosley.

Even if Pac does well against Hatton it's not a valid comparison to Cotto.
They both apply different types of pressure with Cotto's being the more tactical approach.
Cotto should stay on the road he's on now, fighting actual WW's.
Not saying that Pac doesn't stand a chance but I just think a few things need to happen before this fight can even be justified.

Cottos power will have Manny Backing up and unlike Oscar, Cotto will throw back.

This is a total mismatch and Cotto is the one with the advatange.

WWs needs to fight WWs, I dont blame people for wanting because of the money.

But fighting wise, is not fair. Manny gets Whoop by any top WW, Too much size!!!!!
that wasn't my point. Pacquiao isn't just an average lefty. combine his speed and power though, he has a significant advantage over a lefty turned righty style fighter.

Cotto obviously has a great chance, he is a good boxer. Lot of ****** answers though like "to big, ko in 6!!" sounds more like blind faith to me.
