If your prime weapon is the left hook, the odds of you landing it on a southpaw are much smaller. The best examples were DE La Hoya and Barrera, both absolute shut outs.

Don't Know about the end result...no one truly knows if pac has the power to trouble Hatton let alone Cotto, I believe that the true picture of any possible result against Cotto (should the fight happen) can only be found after the fight with hatton.

That said you have some good points about the technical aspects he would have to rely on to win the fight.

Cotto is a left handed orthadox fighter, once he fights a south paw he's going to be forced to use his straight right hand, which is average at best. Combined with Pacquiao's extreme speed advantage and workrate, Cotto will most likely lose.

Now I expect to get flamed for this obviously, but please sig this thread if the fight does end up happening, I will apologize if I'm wrong.

Marquez, is a natural right hander. He's got a great right hand hence his success in the Pacquiao fights.

As it stands now, I see Miguel getting frustrated and his right hand not being enough to win him the fight vs Pacquiao's left.

By the way, Cotto always swicthed to South paw, during fight, specially against southpaws.
