Ruiz also beat, Kirk Johnson, Hasim Rahman, and Fres Oquendo. All top heavyweights at the time.He knocked down and hurt Evander Holyfield with his sneaky right hand. Although Holyfield was past his prime, not a lot of fighters can do that to him even today. Valuev didn't. Ruiz also had a very frustrating and difficult style that a lof of heavyweights could not find an answer. So don't try to pretend that Jones beat a heavyweight that every heavyweight could beat. What Jones accomplished in that fight was big no matter how you look at it.

Did he clinch his way to victory, you know the kind of style he is known to have. If so, I'd count those wins as losses. That is just how I see things, because boxing is a sport where you're suppose to punch your opponent not excessively hold.

He won all those fights and yes it was ugly. You can spin it however you want to, but his tactics didn't work with Jones.
