    co-sign...

the reason i think he hire him as his trainer. .is because he knows already his usual game plan!!

cotto cant just come .. and change everything.. from one day to another.!!!

he will get a real trainer right after clottey..

still i think he could have hire somebody with more experience....

Cotto and his uncle have argued before and their training camps are mostly Cotto doing his thing anyway. The only area I can possibly see this as a big issue is in the actual corner come fight night. I don't know Santiago's experience or knowledge on boxing fights and am ot sure whether he can be of much help for Cotto on the actual day of the fight with catching flaws and indicators against Clottey. However, the actual training might go even better without Evangelista as Cotto can do his normal things and possibly implement some of the newer things he was hopig to bring to camp. Either way I'm rooting for Cotto and hope his camp can get back on track quickly and without any more hitches. Good thing this happened 2 months before the fight and not like 2 weeks.

Think its more to avoid the media and any more drama with his family than anything. He won't be in the same gym where the incident happened and can concentrate better.

Cotto won hes fights apparently alone, and then look at changing trainer, left little to the fight and the decision to choose a coach that is for someone that does not come to try to change some things in Cotto in so little time to fight the inertia choose someone from your team, maybe after this fight hire someone with a reputation for its trains on time,
