  • Bottom line

Floyd Mayweather Jr doesn't owe Sugar Shane Mosley nothing. I'm not feeling the double standard that is going on this thread. Shane is calling a retired man for a shot instead of fighting an active Berto or Williams? Who cares if he wants to get a big $ fight? Shane should be the big $ fight PERIOD. And no matter what you guys say on here about Floyd coming back and fighting Cotto/Mosley/Clottey or whoever for the respect is Bull**** because if/when he beats all of them then the excuses will continue to pour out about how Floyd beat a shot Mosley and Cotto has been through wars, Blah, blah, blah, Etc, Etc so don't try to sell me that, we just want to see him fight the best crap.

The guy has fought from 130 to 154 winning and defending titles in all them divisions UNDEFEATED, he's official in my book. Peope say that he didn't really fight a tough test at 147 but all the guys he fought had titles and he became the only recognize champ at 147 in how many years? What you guys should be saying is that WE WANT TO SEE HIM FIGHT this guy, that guy because obviously he fought the right people to be in a position he's in now. I want him to come back & fight but if he doesn't I'm not mad at him or if he does and fight JMM & Pacquiao
more power to him because they actually help his cause.

Cotto fought Gomez & Jennings for a vacant title that Paul Williams left, when Cotto could have fought him for it and you guys are ragging on Floyd? The guy fought for ALL his titles. PLEASE! Mosley is the guy you should be mad at, for not fighting Floyd when he had the chance for the SO CALLED HARDCORE BOXING FANS. Mosley dropped the ball & now
trying to start the game where he left off? Don't meant to write so much but the BS I read on here sometimes is enough.

Your right. He Chased Oscar 3 weight
classes in his prime to fight him, sorry I'm a moron. Also known as seeking out the best to fight them on their terms. Something I wish Floyd would attempt. As I mentioned, my point remains the same.
Wasn't Floyd seeking a fight with Mosley when he was in a lower weight class than him? & two more times after that thirsty for a shot at the more popular Shane? I even remember Floyd calling for a fight with Shane after the Demarcus Corley fight if I'm not mistaken. Floyd also chased Oscar all
over the place for his shot calling him out at any given moment. When Margarito stepped to Floyd and asked for a fight Floyd was after Oscar & disregarded Margarito (And people say he was scared). Floyd ain't scared of these guys, he just want to get fame/money & if Mosley was smart he would have been in Floyd shoes right now instead of calling the man at home when he is BBQ'n with his family asking for a fight.

true. hence pw is the most avoided boxer now, too bad for him. But then his skills will be tested ultimately if he suits up with Kelly, or AAbraham at 160. now that will be a great fyt.

              you serious?

if you want to do the frankly ridiculous distinction between warriors and businessmen, you better pick on the right names.
Here we go. Do you think mayweather would have fought the fighters srl did? If so please present some evidence to back it up. The people on my list are boxing businessmen that I respect because they took tough fights throught their careers. If I wanted to mention just real warriors the list would be a page long.

              • This is how I know all y'all are ridiculously gay floyd fanboys, because you never ever even critique your idol. (except quis-he admitted that he wants, as a boxing fan to see floyd fight better fights). You argue semantics all day when you know the truth. For example, bhop is my current favorite and I can say that he didn't get it done a couple of times. He should be calling out Dawson, he should have taken the short money to fight Jones. He took a couple of fights that were way too easy (dlh), but all in all his career is respectable and he is an atg and a top 5 mw arguably. You nuthuggers make excuses all day for Floyd as to why he never fights the fights fans want to see, and why he never cleans out a division (since lw, arguably). What other elite athlete (tiger, lebron, Kobe, brady, r lewis, favre, Beckett, rampage, etc) finds so many ways to ***** outof his biggest challenges? Even arod SUX in the playoffs but he keeps trying.

But you already admitted that Floyd is a HOF at 130-135 right? So he put his game down and is considered one of the best Jr Lightweight fighters of all time. how could you **** on that? Name me one fighter right now that has cleaned out a whole division? There are so many fights that WE want to see but they are not happening and Williams is a big example of that so your point about Floyd should fight this person, that person is irrelevant because NOBODY is doing it right now in ANY division! EVERYONE is looking for big $ fights. No boxer is perfect (Floyd included) but he is a great talent, smart fighter & excellent businesss man that is supposedly coming back so will see what it do but until then, whatever! because it's other fights I would like to see from active fighters/Boxers.

There are tons of WW's fighting each other, just in the last year or so and going forward. Shane V Cotto, Cotto V Clottey, Margs V Shane and Cotto, Berto V Collazo, plus margs V Pwill. Kirkland is fighting Sergiy D, Pac and Hatton, Diaz v Marquez, Marquez v Casa. Don't even get me started with marquez vasquez and CW (adamek v Cunningham?) and Vic D . People are fighting the best in their division all over the place, especially this year. People are trying to clean out their divisions or making the best fight possible. Your boy doesn't do that, then he feeds his nuthuggers stuff like "I fought and beat the best at 140, and 147." Why won't the gayweather fans admit that that is a complete bull**** statement. Thank you for admitting he's not perfect, its a big step.

Pwill is a whole different story. Floyd don't want that and neither does any WW. Only Serg, Kirkland, and maaaaaaybe Pavlik have offered to fight him (probably my 2nd or 3rd favorite fighter). Leave him out of this because I believe he's a special fighter and others do too obviously, he'll get his. How about Froich Taylor? That's a tough fight right there. Floyd should stay retired and be remembered as the duck that he is. HOWEVER, if, like you theorized, he wants to come back and clean out WW and do it for real, he would be a welcome addition.

                    PS, taxes suck!!!
No wonder I'm tryping so much

Very true. But some people think with their emotions instead of their brains.
