With Naseem training him Shane is using his Jab pretty well and he is throwing better body punches. Cotto didn't want to fight Mosley after Mosley destroyed Margo. People are making excuses saying Margo Cheated against Cotto just like he did against Mosley, BUT THERE IS NO PROOF THAT MARGO CHEATED AGAINST COTTO. Cotto took a Loss sorry. Mayweather is a Good Boxer but you guys are putting to much emphasis on him OUTBOXING shane Mosley. Mayweathers Last two fights with DeLaHoya and Hatton, he did some good OUTBOXING but he was getting hammered on the Ropes as well. WHICH MEANS he can be pressured and it is possible to cut the ring off on him. Floyd can not make this mistake with laying on the Ropes with Shane Mosley. Mosley can pressure him like Hatton and Oscar did on the Ropes but with MORE POWER and SPEED. Shane Mosley is also faster than Zab Judah, FLOYD IS NOT SORRY. Look back at that Judah-Mayweather fight and you will see that Judah was outspeeding Mayweather even in the Late rounds, Mayweather's SKILLS and TIMING was just superior. Floyd knows his first L will come from Mosley.
I agree that Zab was faster than Floyd in their fight but Mosley is not
faster than Zab and Floyd neutralized Zab's speed with accurate punching and aggression. Mosley would be Floyd's toughest fight at 147 with
exception to Paul Williams who should stay up at the higher weights but
over all Mosley would not be able to hang with Floyd's stamina. Floyd
is in better condition than Mosley and way more defensive.

Mosley is wide open for punches and counter shots. Also Mosley
has the habit of swinging with all his force in his punches and
missing off balance and he couldn't afford to do that against Floyd.
De La Hoya & Hatton had him on the ropes but when were they ever effective on Floyd? He made them miss more than anything. Margarito
was tailor made for Mosley that night.

Everyone pretty much doubted Mosley after the Mayorga fight but he executed an effective plan to neutralize Margarito's pressure. Floyd
would switch his game up & be a pressure fighter or not against Mosley
depending on how Mosley comes into the ring. Floyd adjust the best
under pressure and can change his style up to be effective like he did
to Judah and would really make Mosley box and there is no way that
Mosley out boxes Floyd. Hey, that's why I always say (Alleged Plaster) because we really don't know but it's possible BUT with that said I still
say Margarito's style trumps Cotto style.

If Cotto comes to the ring and fights Margarito the same way he did
before Margarito would beat him again, with or without plaster. Even
YOU said that "Mayweather's SKILLS and TIMING was just superior"
that's some of the main fundamentals you need to beat any fighter.
I do say if Mosley/Cotto 2 happens, Mosley takes it.

    • I think floyd would beat both cotto and mosley.

mosley is stymied by a good jab and cotto has poor stamina.

I agree that he would beat both too but was called a cheerleader
for thinking so. More than anything in regards to Cotto, don't
think his stamina will lose him the fight with Floyd but his ability
to get hit at any giving moment & Floyd is just too accurate for
Cotto because Cotto doesn't display any good technical, defensive
skills. Floyd takes Cotto punch away, makes him miss and picks
him apart with the lead right. Cotto is just too wide open. To me,
Cotto is a better polished version of Juan Urango (Both trained
by Evangelista) & so was Henry Bruseles (Who grew up and sparred
with Cotto) who Mayweather knocked down twice and stopped in
        the 8th.

Shane Mosley always has problems with guys that are not right
there for him to fight because Mosley is a slugger/brawler more
than a technical guy. He is very fast for someone that likes to
fight blow for blow but Vernon & Winky showed that if you fight
Mosley by boxing him and using ring fundementals and like you
said "A JAB" you can beat him. Floyd/Mosley most likely will go
to the 12th but I see Cotto getting stopped or his corner stopping
it (THAT'S MY UNBIAS BOXING FAN OPINION).

Hey man, everybody is entitled to their opinion but I remember before
Antonio Margarito everyone had Mosley going to the junk yard and that's
real talk. After his fantastic performance against a 1 dimensional fighter
in Antonio Margarito, everybody changed their tune and now he's the
biggest threat to Floyd Mayweather Jr. I agree that he will be very competitive but all Floyd really has to do is keep Shane at bay with the
jab and pick his shots. Honestly man, Shane is just too open in the ring
for Floyd. He would counter him all day. Hatton cut the ring off but what good did it do? When was Floyd ever hurt in that fight? De La Hoya was huge compared to Floyd and used his height and weight advantage to intimidate Floyd and got tired trying to pressure Floyd while floyd got stronger as the fight went on. Mosley is shorter than De Hoya and would
be fighting Floyd at 147 not 154......The Mosley fight would be competitive but I would bet on Floyd to win.
