I don't think an offer was ever made, but Floyd has expressed no interest in fighting Cotto

If they do ever fight it would have to be after the tune-up, and the winner of Pac/Hatton I'm guessing... And I'm not sure if Floyd would stick around long if he won that.

Amazing logic. Just awe inspiring what passes as a good argument around here....

I understand IF Margarito fans say PBF ducked Tony. Since he was OFFERED a fight.

Cotto has never called OUT PBF for a fight, nor has he offered him a fight. To duck someone they would offer you a fight.

Usually the challengers calls the fighter out
Don't you get tired of the same **** everyday?

How many times has this been asked and answered.

          WHY are YOU LYING?

Gatti-Mayweather is the immediate plan. But Top Rank is taking a close look at this, and seeing this backup solution: Mayweather-Cotto in a pay-per-view clash this summer, instead of Gatti-Mayweather. Then, if Cotto wins, make a pay-per-view mega fight against De La Hoya in late 2005.

“Cotto needs a couple more tune-ups. Right now he’s a little too green,” Mayweather said.

Those words come from a man with few other options if: A) His legal situation puts him on ice; or, B) Main Events uses the legal situation to protect Gatti’s burgeoning franchise from the risk of a Mayweather fight.

A lot of Cotto fans are racist, so they'll make up anything to attack Floyd no matter how obviously wrong it is. Cotto and Mosley are a lot like Joe Frazier was in the 1970s and Evander Holyfield was in the 1980s. They're the guys who have no charisma and mediocre talent, but they get lots of support from racist white people by being willing to dance for them by portraying themselves as "humble" and "sportsmanlike" unlike the big bad outspoken black man.

LOL why do you keep bringing **** up you already know the answer to.

Floyd called out Cotto...and MANY OTHER guys at 140, but then immediately after he jumped right into WW. Cotto wasn't even a big name at that point and according to Floyd when the fight hit the roof in anticipation for it to be made at 147, didn't Cotto have to be his own CEO and had to get a fanbase? But chill, Floyd would've fought him at 140 without any of the 2? LOL hilarious...

Cotto hasn't gone out and run through the streets screaming for a fight with Floyd but did express interest in the fight.

"Floyd doesn't seem to want to fight me. I can't wait for him. If he wants to fight me, I'll be ready. He's very good, but I know I can beat him." - Cotto Early 2007

You tell me what fight the entire Boxing world was crying out for after Floyd beat Hatton? You're playin yourself once again LOL

                  Floyd ducked Margarito

The Cotto fight didn't happen for a number of reasons, Arum should have atleast made an offer so even if Floyd rejected it, it could be classed as a legitimate duck

I also don't get how the Cotto fans say Cotto doesn't call Floyd out because its not his style and yet he calls out Pacquiao and Hatton

Did Paul Williams people send Cotto an offer to fight? I honestly don't know.

How is it a duck when a fight wasn't offered by Team Cotto or even Arum
