Did Williams ever offer Cotto a fight?

Right, just like how Dibella didn't offer a fight with Williams & Cotto right? But chill, Cotto's ducking him LOL...see how that works?

If you date back to mid-late 2007 that was THE fight to be made. It was made mention of 3 separate occasions (that I saw personally) on ESPN.com, Friday Night Fights, Around the Horn, etc. Floyd was already throwing down the notion of the fight because he didn't want to work with Bob Arum (which even then is understandable), but to say Cotto was ducking him? Why would he duck a huge payday against the sport's #1 guy?

In the end regardless of what you think, Cotto isn't the one that's looked at as the one duckin that fight. The public perception was that Floyd wanted nothing to do with Cotto.

Everyone knows the fight should have happened and each side likes to blame the other. Floyd wanted it earlier and by the time Cotto wanted the fight, Floyd was chasing bigger paydays.

The truth is that both Miguel and Floyd could have done more to make it happen but Floyd is mainly to blame for the fight not happening the second time. The only thing Cotto could have done was talk more **** but that's just not his style.
