Well what else do you want from the guy? I mean he has 20 straight title defenses at middleweight and he was able to move up to win the LHW title. How is this a bad thing? I respect your opinion but why the beef with bhop? Seriously what was so bad about his career if I can ask?

I never said it was. I said it was his best weightclass since his days at 147.

He had a nice run of wins there against Javier Castillejo, Fernando Vargas, Luis Ramon Campas, Ricardo Mayorga, and some would argue he won the rematch with Shane at 154. (I thought he deserved it.)

He says Hopkins is a racist, black ****** eliteist.

It's a personal thing with him I think.

He is, if Calzaghe would of said "I would never lose to a black guy", all hell would break loose.

So was Muhammed Ali and as much as I hated his actions and politics the guy is still a God in the sport of boxing.

True but Hopkins made himself look like a fool when he said that and people didn't even care when he said it. Comments like that just don't make waves like they did 10-15 years ago so who cares if he said that. he made himself look like an idiot when he did say it.

I won't argue with you on the latter. But I don't agree on him being racist.

I heard the same **** all the time growing up in Philly as a whiteboy.

                  It never really bothered me.

But I can see why it would bother those who haven't been exposed to it.

                    Thats true

if you grow up in an area where there are lots of people from diff. backgrounds, you see a lot of playful racial taunting, most of it isnt meant to be serious

eg: with indian friends theres always curry jokes etc, with asian friends theres always bad driving jokes going on, with the white guys theres always bogan jokes aimed at them, but everyone is cool and it isnt a big deal

Yup. I'd list some of the terms that I used to call some of my Latino and Black friends in Philly, but I'd get banned no doubt.

But I can say that they used to call me a greedy, land stealing, ethnic killing, honkey who can't dance for ****.

As long as you're cool with the person, it's all good....and hilarious.
