If he can't fight, he can't fight.

Why risk his quality of life and possibly his vision just to prove a point?
    He ducked Manny Pacquiao.

      Nothing CLOSE to a duck.
Never said he ducked anyone, I said I respect him, I like him, just saying that if he decides to retire that's fine with me, but I don't wanna see him fight anyone else in that case.

They're posters who aren't getting the point.

Juanma is a GREAT champion, if you care about ABC belts, and is willing to fight anyone. Smooth boxer, great puncher and has excelled with any test.

However, he hasn't fought the best opposition yet. He still DOES have to prove himself. I happen to be of the school of thought that says he will succeed. Nonetheless, that doesn't mean it's happened yet.

Nonetheless, if Izzy wanted to let that build, while he made made money that he deserved on the last leg of his career, that's not ducking someone.

For the record, if those 'posters' you refer to are people I'd assume you think are idiots, why would you sink to that level?

C/S.. plus everyone has to admit VIC D is the biggest name with a big following.. of course Vazquez would have liked that fight first..

I like Juanma, I think he does have a lor of promise, he beat a dangerous puncher in DeLeon really bad,but vazquez isn't afraid to get in the ring with him..too bad this injury won't let that showdown ever happen...

So, if he had a miracle surgery 6 months from now and he decided to go for the biggest money he could find in what could still be his last fight, you'd consider it ducking Juanma?

Depends who it is and how much money he could make vs Juanma. I know Arum is more than willing to open up his bank for this one, better be A BIG difference, else yes, he's ducking him.

Darchinyan would offer him more money. And that fight has been close to happening for a while.

You claim that all Mexican posters are biased. Look at your sig, for the record.

Second of all, he didn't. He was willing, wanted to do it before Manny moved up. Vazquez isn't ******. He knows he can't go up to 135-147 and be successful. He gave up on the idea.

That's not ducking someone. He doesn't want to fight Wladimir Klitschko either, add him to the list.

That sucks if it's true. Shame to lose a gutty champ like Izzy.

Fight has been mentioned since he beat Mijares and sounded more likely after Arce. Not so sure that would bring him more money than unification vs Juanma, would have to see how much is the difference. Vic is a smaller fighter, so it better be a big difference.
