Does big Paul Williams crack your top 10 pound 4 pound list now??

To me, it's about how he won the rematch and how he's looked since. A loss can be a defining moment in a fighters career, often times when you look back at a great fighters career, there can be a point, either a loss, or a really tough fight that makes them into a better fighter.
I could be wrong, but based on what I've seen since that Quintana fight, Williams has improved a lot. Compare Williams in their first fight to how he looks inside the ring now. He's much more evolved imo. He has more head movement, he comes from all angles, he commits to his punches more, he's just better.
You're right, their first fight may not have been a fluke, but it could have been a big lesson for Williams, maybe he needed that to make him better.Comment

I personally don't care much about height, and especially with Paul Williams who DOES NOT USE his height advantage in fights, he fights low and he fights inside or very close. I may agree with you more if he stood tall and just jabbed his way to victories like Wlad Klitshko or someone like that, but Williams brawls with his opponents, thus giving up his height & reach advantage for the most part.Comment

Very good point, it's like Clottey should get criticized for fighting Cotto instead of whoever no named fighter the IBF is demanding him fight instead.Comment

He does use his height, he just ends up on the inside alot, but he does use his height and tonight he used it better than he has in the past. He would be a better fighter if he used his legs more.I personally don't care much about height, and especially with Paul Williams who DOES NOT USE his height advantage in fights, he fights low and he fights inside or very close. I think Williams has potential to be a future HOFer and I think the Quintana loss was a wake up call for him, probably made him into a better fighter. I guess guys like Kellerman having him dominating 4 divisions before tonight kind of turn me off a bit. Plus I'd like to see him fight a guy that's somewhere close to his height, in his prime, and has some pop. Pavlik is looking much less of a mismatch than I originally thought, that's the best fight that I can see out there for him, and maybe after tonight the demand will be higher for it.To me, it's about how he won the rematch and how he's looked since.
